Phishing Email Using Yahoo! Name

The Better Business Bureau® is warning consumers and businesses to beware of a malicious e-mail that claims to be from Yahoo! about a required update. Upon further investigation from our IT company, the link in the e-mail leads to another site called 

Because the message is fraudulent, the BBB advises any business or consumer that receives this e-mail to take the following steps:

  • Do not click on any links or reply to the message
  • Completely delete the message from your inbox
  • Run a full virus scan on your computer if you did click on any links
  • Check with your BBB or a reputable IT company to help determine if it’s a suspicious e-mail
