This is 4 months following our issue with Fox Travel, but maybe this background can help others. We purchased travel insurance for a $5000+ charter trip to Cancun in March. i.e. Fox sold the "policy". We were first time travelers with Fox. The return trip from Cancun to Milwaukee was a nightmare -- our otherwise 6 hr flight taking more than 24 hrs after a detour to Miami and our night sleeping on the terminal floor. "No crew, no aircraft"-- said the airline. Long story short: The FOX rep essentially washed her hands of assisting on getting detail from the airline of the snafu for the insurance claim -- delayed trip, cancelled flight. (The insurance company INSISTED on that detail -- specifically "Swift" airlines and their explanation/certification of the problem...all details unavailable to us for no airline phone number, address, etc. Swift is an out-of-the-US based airline.) To add further insult, the Fox rep told us insurance "probably won't pay anyway" for a partial and minor refund made by the charter company. The Appleton-based Fox rep essentially washed her hands of the mess. Even as SHE and Fox sold us the travel policy. Moral of story: If you are in the travel biz, don't sell travel insurance if you are not prepared to back the insured to the insurer. And Fox Travel: never again.

We apologize for the experience you had using a charter service airline through Apple Vacations. While Fox World Travel manages the travel planning and transactions, we have no control over the supplier's products/policies. In today's climate there are many airline schedule changes due to shortage of crew. We ultimately can advocate on your behalf for compensation but cannot control the supplier's response. We understand it feels like we brushed off the situation and for that we truly apologize as that is not the service we commit to deliver.
