What a terrible experience. Picked up our dog yesterday and he STUNK. We were told he would be bathed and his bed would be bathed but that did not happen. We had to bathe him before he touched anything in our home. The bed we sent with him was saturated in urine. They apologized and said the two dogs in the kennel next to our dog were, messy, and they didnt have time to clean it. We had to throw the bed away as it was too soaked to even wash. It took our dog 2 days to recover from the experience he had here. He was not himself and just slept all day and night like he wasnt able to sleep at all while boarded. The owner offered us a $40 credit for the $60 bed we threw away and the terrible experience our dog had. We will never board here again. I am so sad we didnt do more research before exposing our dog to this type of environment. Be careful and do your homework. There are far better places to board your dog.

As a local family owned business, Cedar Creek Pet Resort takes our customer complaints very seriously. We do have a policy to clean-up, at our expense, dogs that become soiled even when the owners do not request a bath. The employee who made the appointment very clearly remembers asking about a bath, and that these clients refused, even though they would have received a free day of boarding if they had done so. The employee who released the dog in that condition should have done a quick clean-up bath, and has been reminded of our policy. I did apologize for that employee's behavior, and offered a free bath for the dog. The woman on the phone insisted that they only wanted to bathe the dog themselves, and they never request a bath, so a free bath was meaningless for them. Regarding the bed, it was never with another dog. He soiled it himself. But we should have washed it anyway, and I also apologized that was not done. Then I told the woman I would put a $40 credit on her account to be used in any manner she chose. She said that would be acceptable, and I hung up thinking the situation had been resolved. This incident happened over Spring Break - one of our busiest seasons. We take great pride in the care we provide to all dogs we serve- even when we are super busy and short-staffed. This dog loved going to PlayCare, and showed no sign of distress at any time. I did not speak to the man who wrote the review, so I was unaware that they remained unhappy with our resolution until his reviews started to appear.
