Additional Notes

Complaint: My place of business has banked here for over 27 years and recently owners have changed. The new owner has changed to another bank to keep all of his business' together. We have very little time during the day to get change, so it was very easy for us to walk to the bank and get change for our register. Now that our past owner has messed up his account, this bank will not let us, with a new owner get change. There really is no other place within miles to get change, and I have a personal account with this bank. They still were extreamly rude yesterday when I went with my ID and asked for change. All I needed was $100 in singles and $150 in 5's, I gave them the larger bills and they just exchanged them for small bills. They are a bank, isn't that what they do. I know I have well over $30,000 in this bank and they said that wouldn't even work because they know the change is for the business. I do plan to move my money to another bank today.

Desired Settlement: I would like to feel comfortable being able to walk there and get change without a hassle and rude *******.

Business Response: We have made numerous attempts to call the customer at the telephone number she provided to The Equitable Bank (the “Bank”) without success.  We have left messages for Ms. ******** to return our calls, but have not received a response from her. It is the Bank’s procedure to make change/order cash for the Bank’s  business customers based on a predetermined schedule and branch location.  This ensures  we have the available change for the customer when they need it.  Ms. ******** and her co-workers have come to the Bank to make change for her employer.  Ms. ********** employer is not a customer of the Bank – it is therefore the Bank’s procedure not to accommodate making change/ordering cash for this non-customer

Consumer Response: Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *******, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
