Specialized Auto ************ was assigned by Peddle to tow away and junk my **** Saturn Ion for $335. Original date for pick up was scheduled for Monday, December 19, 2022 between 2:30pm and 4:30pm CT at the mechanic shop (*************************) in ********, ** (this is the address listed in the attached receipt, not my residence!). Around 1:20pm CT on 12/19/22, I received a call from the tow truck driver that he had broken down on the highway and would need to reschedule. In that phone call with the tow truck driver and in the attached email correspondence, I stated that the new pick up date must be scheduled before Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 8am CT as that is when I would have to return my rental car and I would have no means of being there in person to collect payment. ***** from Specialized Auto Salvage called me on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 saying that the new pick-up date and time would be tomorrow (12/21/22) between 2:30pm and 4:30pm. I stated to him again that I would not be present as I would have no means to get to the vehicle location and to please mail the check to my residence which I gave to him and that was also on the title that the tow truck driver would be picking up. I called the mechanic and informed him of the situation.By 1/5/23, I had no received payment at the residence. I called Specialized Auto and they proceeded to tell me the check was mailed to the mechanic shop where my vehicle was located instead of my residence saying "that was the only address we had." That excuse is ********. I had given them my address over the phone prior to the vehicle being picked up AND it is on the *************** ISSUED TITLE that was picked up by the tow truck driver and is to be signed by the ***** (aka Specialized Auto)!!!!!!
