    My daughters 2016 ******** was dropped off at Ewald Kia of Oconomowoc sometime in July of 2023. They had told us it needed a new engine because it was consuming oil and that it would be covered by the powertrain warranty provided when it was purchased "certified pre-owned" from a different dealership. Ewald *** ran ** in circles with this, ultimately trying to sell my daughter a $10,000 new engine.By November we had enough and just wanted the vehicle back to take elsewhere. I spoke with the service manager; ***************** who had told me the engine was in pieces, and had to be put back together and it would cost us almost $1,1100 to do that. After arguing with ****, after him trying to justify the cost with "all of the hours" put into the vehicle, he did agree to a 60/40 split. We pick the vehicle up on November 3rd 2023, paid $655.20 to them before they'd release the vehicle. Then, they said they couldn't find it. That was untrue. It took that long because the vehicle was dead. They got it started and brought it out to us; it was making a strange noise. It was in worse condition now than when we dropped it off almost 4 months ago. Because of the noise it was making, I asked if they put oil back into it. The response I received was "of course, a vehicle doesn't leave the lot without oil in it". We left, went down the road to eat dinner. We were done a half hour later, and the vehicle is completely dead. Upon opening the hood to jump start the vehicle it was noticed: 1, they certainty DID NOT have this engine in pieces; it was never taken apart, There was an absence of any fingerprints, only untouched old dirt and dust. 2, there was NO OIL in the vehicle either. I've tried repeatedly to speak with **** (the service manager) about this. He will not return my calls and refuses to speak with me. I want ALL of my money back for the lies and deceit from this dealership.

    My appointment was Wednesday morning 11/1/23 at 8am. Gary helped to check my car in at about 715am and was pleasant to speak with and found a courtesy ride home for me. I called the shop around 11am to ask if the car had been looked at yet and it had not. So, I called again about 4pm and it still wasn't looked at per Gary. He would call me Thursday morning with any updates. On Thursday morning at 8am Gary called and said that yes, the car needed to have the control arm repaired. He then tells me that the claim was approved by my warranty company and they would cover 3 days for a car rental. I said that I didn't need a rental unless it was going to take a long time to fix. Gary said let him figure out when he could get parts and he would call me back with a time frame on when It would be fixed. He called me back at 11am and said great news we have the parts and it will be fixed by the end of the day Thursday. I found a ride at 4pm to go get the car assuming that it would be done. Get there and Gary says that they haven't even started it. He had me take a seat in the waiting area while he tried to figure things out. He then came and said "sit tight" they are going to work on it and it'll only take an hour. At 5pm I get a text from that says "we are running into an issue getting yours completed are we able to keep it overnight?" I was sitting in the waiting room! So, I walked up the service counter and another service advisor {Dakota) said that they found nothing wrong with my car and he didn't even know why it was there. That a "Wayne" took it for a ride and didn't feel the clunking that I complained about. Didn't feel it?!? Did he look at it? How exactly did he make that judgment without looking at it? and why did he not consult with the tech who previously told the service advisor that my car had an issue? I Took my car home. 2 weeks later another dealership fixed the car. Bad control arm and ball joint bushing. I want 3 days of my life back.
