Read Complaint Details
Complaint: I went in and requested a quote for a glass table top, I was told it was $120.00 for a 70x40 piece and $35.00 for tempered glass. I was assured total cost would be under $200.00. I left a $100.00 deposit. When I went to pick this up, they put it in my truck immediately, which was odd and when I went to pay the total cost was $355.00. When asked why it was double I was given no explanation just, they cut the glass, it was tempered and it had a finished edge. I told them I was very unhappy and shocked, that I never ever would have agreed to any price over $200.00. I was very upset, but paid and left. I should have had them remove the glass and walked away. This was not what I agreed to and feel that I have been taked advantage of! The glass it to heavy for me to take back now, I am very upset by this transaction!
Desired Settlement: Charge me what was quoted to me ! Refund the over payment!
Business Response: We have discussed this issue with the customer and explained that there was a miscommunication in the matter. A table top such as this should have been quoted as many factors are involved in the pricing. The shape and edge work of this particular table top was all hand done and therefore, the cost was higher. We understand the customer's point of view as far as pricing and therefore, have issued a refund and given the customer our cost for the product. In the future, it is our policy to have all glass or mirror items that require a pattern to be quoted for the customer prior to ordering.
