On 20-Feb-24, my husband, *******, made a purchase of "unpulverized leaf compost" for the amount of $3,249.75. During the product review, owner of the store, showed the product to *******, and explained that it is all they have this year. Visual product description could be located here: ***************************************************************************************************** Since we are starting a ******** on an empty corn field, which lacks any vegetation, ******* agreed to purchase 100 yards of "unpulverized leaf compost", and 8 yards of pulverized compost. The purchase was completed by the senior member of the family, ****.Delivery took place on March 2, after which it rained, and we were not able to get onto the property due to the mud. On March 9th, I examined delivered product, and concluded that out of 16 piles, only one resembles compost, while 15 of them looked like a pulverized top soil, filled with chunks of ***** rocks, some garbage, lacking any organic looking material.On March 9th, we stopped at the store, but were told to come back on Monday because owner was not there.Today, March 11, when we came to the store, a front desk clerk told us that the only way to settle the issue is to agree to have compost delivered. (why would they say that if the product was correct in the first place?) I refused because how can I be sure that another load of **** will not be delivered instead? Who is going to remove it? Instead, I insisted on talking to the owner.However, when the younger owner (with a black *****) came, he told us to get out of the property or he will call police, took picture of our license plate, and insisted that a sample of the material I took from 2 different piles was not what he delivered. Both chunks were pure ****!We also consulted the owner of another local landscape business to help us to evaluate the content of the remaining 15 piles. He confirmed that what ever it is, it is not a compost.
