WPS was a former health provider. I had new insurance and should not have been on their books any longer. When I went to my local pharmacy to get a medication, it went through with no problem. Now, I understand that my pharmacy should have put it through my new insurance and they accidentally put it through WPS, so they (pharmacy) do get some of the blame. That being said, the input should have been kicked back as I was no longer under WPS. I had no idea they charged the wrong insurance company. About three months later, I get a threatening letter that if I do not pay back WPS in full for the medication, they will send it to collections. I call the number listed and get a recording that this number does not accept incoming calls. I call the customer service and they tell me they will look into me potentially getting on a payment plan. The woman I spoke to was named Kelly and she said she would contact me on the following Monday with the answers. I wait to hear until Thursday and finally call back. I get a brief answer of them not accepting payments and the full amount is due or it will go to collections. What the ****??? I didn't make the mistake. at least work with me on allowing me to pay it back. Apparently the only health WPS is really interested in is their financial health.
