Complaint: I purchased a walker for my Mother from their web site. Prior to the purchase I had phone conversations with Shilpa because I had read their return policy and wanted to be sure if the item was not exactly what we needed that I could return it. She attempted to get information from the manufacturer but was unable to do so. She agreed that as long as we didn't use the product it could be returned without removing any packaging. It didn't work out and I returned it according to their instructions. When I purchased the product their web site and my e-mailed invoice indicated that I had paid $182.22 and under shipping it indicated $0.00 (free shipping). When I returned the product I understood that I would have to pay shipping to return the product to them. Their return policy indicated I would be refunded the cost for the product less any shipping. Since my original purchase didn't include shipping I expected the refund of the full purchase amount. Upon receiving my return I received an e-mail from them that indicated they were going to refund $164.99 because it cost $17.23 to ship it to me originally. Their terms do not indicate anything like this. I spoke to Shilpa again who was going to speak to her manager and get back with me. When I didn't hear back from her I called back and was told that they believe their instructions are clear and wouldn't be refunding me the full amount but may be changing their language on their web site and thanked me for bringing it to their attention. I had specifically read their return rules prior to purchase and make numerous purchases on the internet so I was surprised when they took this approach.
Desired Settlement: Refund the $17.23 to my credit card and change their wording on their web site to indicate that shipping is only free unless you have to return something then you have to pay the hidden shipping charges.

In our refund policy we clearly stated we do not issue a refund on shipping cost both ways. Orders is over $75.00 we do ship the product for free. If the customer wants to return the item we will not issue a refund on cost incurred when item is shipped. We have made an exception and issued areturn for this customer.
