Complaint: My daughter ******* ******* is enrolled in the driver's education program at Tri County Driving school in ********* **. On May 3, 2012, her driver's education instructor told her that he would be picking her up at 5:30pm, but he instead showed up at 4:30pm without notice. Normally, the students are given a schedule to follow, and on that schedule, my daughter's normal time was 4:30pm, but the driving instructor had told her from the prior appointment, that the next time he was picking her up (on May 3rd), that he would be there at 5:30pm, and again, he showed up at 4:30pm. We paid $315.00 for this driver's education class, and now since this happened, they are trying to charge me a fee of $45.00 for a missed appointment, they are also trying to take my daughters instructors permit away, as well as they are no longer providing her with driver's education classes.

Desired Settlement: I would either like a refund for the services so that I may go to another driver's education program so that my daughter may finish what she needs to. I would really just like for my daughter to be able to finish out her instruction at Tri County so that she may be able to get her license when she turns 16. I do not believe that we should be charged for a missed appointment when the driver's education instructor specifically told my daughter to be there at 5:30pm, and he decided to show up at another time. I do not believe that is fair, and it I am not being provided the services that I paid for.

Today, the owner, David Gawinski,

 

was able to speak to Ms* ****** ** ******* about the

 

matter. There

 

seems to have been some confusion about her daughter's appointment

 

time. The owner has decided to not charge the student the $45.00 for her missed driving

lesson.

Mr. Gawinski also explained to Ms. ******* how we

 

use our green appointment cards, so

 

we do not have any

 

future issues.

 

Ms. *******

 

seemed happy with this resolution. Her daughter will be rescheduled for her

 

next behind the wheel appointment and

 

will continue her instruction with Tri County

 

Driving School.
