Additional Notes

Complaint: I purchased a siberian husky from this breeder in April of 2014. Upon vet visits it was discovered that the dog had a genetic defect in the knees causing the knee cap to slide out of place(luxating patella). My initial contact with the breeder was that she would speak with her vet and be in touch. She never did call me back and after several months I contacted her again and she told me my vet needed to contact her vat and send xrays. I explained to her that there were no xrays and that two vets had diagnosed her by hand and you could feel the patella popping out of place. I did however have my vet contact hers as requested and they spoke at length with my vet stating that hers understood the situation and it was indeed something that was not caused by human hands and it was a genetic issue. Since then I have tried to reach out to her 4 times to resolve this issue and she has never responded back to me and appears to be avoiding this situation all together.

Desired Settlement: The dog will require upwards of $4000 in surgeries to repair the issue and per the contract their is no cash refunds. At the same time it has been a year and giving the dog back is no longer an acceptable arrangement either. In speaking with several other breeders it is common to give another dog to cover the one that has the issue. They never request the problematic dog returned since all they would do is put them down.
