Complaint: I purchased a ***** hunter hang on stand on sept 14 from **** at old 45, only have a pleasant experience buying my bow back in February. I used the stand twice and it was squeaking really bad and very loudly. I called and spoke to **** who stated they would return the stand or take a look at it. The following day i brought the stand back in i asked **** for a refund and he stated he didnt refund for stands. How was i suppose to know when there is no sign posted? My main concern is he took apart my stand to clean paint off a washer and loosened the washers that according to ***** are tightened for the weight limit granted i am not 300 pounds i was told that an authorized dealer/ buyer can not tamper with the product or the warranty is.voided. now i have a 200.00 dollar stand that i cant use because i no longer feel safe in it, and a bad experience where i wont recommend anyone to go there nor will i be purchasing anything more from them.
Desired Settlement: I would like my money back for the stand, and a notice placed on the wall if they are not going to do returns or refunds.
As Stated on the phone with ***** on are first attempt we don’t return used stands however we would do are best to fix the issue “squeak” with the stand or contact ***** if there was an issue and see how they wanted us to handle the stand and possibly return it defective then if there was still an issue if it was not resolved. ***** did return the next day and **** disassemble the stands base from the post sanded the bushings lightly and put some string wax on them to hopefully improve the performance of the stand after reassembled and ***** went on her way….
With ***** Stands there is NO LOSS of warranty if a stand is Disassembled! “Per ***** ********” Which We also confirmed with them again over the phone and at which time they said to also loosen the base ***** *** and replace or sand the bushings lightly because that is typically the fix if there is a squeak in the stand. Per “****” and “**” @ ***** ******** .
***** also called back the next business day and said it was still squeaking and wanted her money back and at that time we said we don’t return stands that are used but we could contact ***** and see how they wanted to handle it, At that time we Both Contacted ***** and They agreed to just return her stand because she still didn’t feel safe in it and we would send that stand back to ***** when she did and they would send us a replacement stand…
Soon after “**” @ ***** had contacted ***** back and said it would be ok to return the stand and get her money back, Approximately 40 Minutes later ***** Returned the stand and was returned in Cash her $209.99
BBB's Final Determination: Business offered a resolution. Consumer did not pursue further with BBB and the matter was assumed to be resolved
