    12/25/21 #****** Had appt. I asked NO labs be performed because previous labs done at Sorrento 12/10/21. I asked for a 1 view abd. xray, meds to keep her comfortable until her appt. with her regular vet at All About Cats on 12/28/21. She had the same issue of constipation, in May of 2020. *** came out and reported the **** was at $513.09. He stated if the doctor deemed it necessary would I agree to do labs? I stated again, "No, I just want to make sure she is comfortable until her regular appt. BUT The dr. called me as I sat in my vehicle (on xmas) that she did labs, gave her more sedation (?), gave her fluids and analyzed the xray, labs and additional medications (which shows on the **** invoice). All that I asked them NOT to. Then she gave me the horrible news that Purrissa had CA. She sent me home with meds to make her comfortableand would encourage her to eat. She passed away on 01/11/22.I know that the veternarians are not governed or regulated by any boards or peers as do Physicians and Lawyers are. They can basically do what they want. I sent them an email outlining more but basically the same to ************** and office staff to do what I am asking you to resolved this situation. They basically said that the ************** had bsically refused. The first ****, as stated, was $513.09 and when I went in to pickup Purrissa, crying and sobbing as the way, the **** had reached $998.91! I request that the Gabapentin, The Senior Screen and the fluid analysis, SQ fluids, and the remaining medication amts. be refunded. Which would be $998.91 - $6.57, $266.00, $193.00, $28.60,$20.59, $20.25 for a total refund of $463.90. I could ask for a FULL refund but I voluntarily sought temporary help and comfort for my BFF until she had her next appointment. I need what is fair and what I initially requested to be done to *** and the doctor.

    I was nervous about taking my cat in. He is part of my colony of feral cats, but he is the tamest of the group. He was hit by a car and limping. It took a few days to catch him. As soon as I was able, we put him in a carrier and headed straight to Tanasbourne. When we arrived, we were told it could be an 8 to 10 hour wait and they would let us know after they triaged him. People were in and out while we were there (some that got there before us some that arrived after us all depending on urgency just like a people ER). Finally, after about 5 1/2 hours the confirmed his leg was broken (it was a pretty nasty break). They went over treatment options with us, and we opted for surgery. They sent us home with pain meds and told us to come back on Saturday. We brought him back in on Saturday and **************** was able to fix his leg. It was a difficult surgery as it had started to heal, and the nerve was attaching to a different part of his leg. **************** treated our sweet boy with kindness and compassion. Yes, the wait was long but there were A LOT of animals in and out of the urgent care in different states of need. I am glad we went in and am very THANKFUL they took the time with our boy. He has a long road ahead of him, but they were able to give him a chance to be a normal ***** again.
