    The Midway Inn was recently purchased by a new owner while a friend and I were staying there. The owner came into my room in the middle of the day with no warning and no knocking, dressed in all black with a hood from a jacket covering his head, and was just walking around our room while my friend and I were asleep. He then proceeded to yell at us, primarily my friend who had just awoke to this man in our room, and demanded we clean the room up, even though we still had over 3 weeks left. We were not aware this was the owner until a later date, and we are not the only room he did this to as we heard he went into every room in the building without letting anyone know. When we went to ask for a refund over this matter, we got questioned on it. We tried to express our discomfort with having a strange man in our room without prior knowledge while we were asleep, and were met with a "It's only me, get comfortable" response from the owner. We proceeded with the refund anyway. We payed over $2,000 for a month's stay, including a $100 room deposit and a $400 pet deposit for our cats for the whole month. The owner kept the entire month's pet deposit and only refunded about $1,000 out of the over $2,000 we originally spent. We were only there for 9 days out of 30 and got less than half our money back. The owner was very rude to us from the initial meeting to the refund day, and then tried to forced us out of the hotel lobby the second the refund was over even though we were already waiting on a ride. They then proceeded to take an Amazon package we had shipped prior to this incident and return it under the grounds it had been at the premises too long. It had been less than 24 hours. We checked in on the 5th of April 2022 and left on the 14th of April 2022.
