Signed up for planet fitness in ********** online portal had a glitch that assigned me to this gym. After talking to my home gym found out this is not the first time. However because I paid for a year I cant transfer. I have called multiple times to try and talk to the ** ************** Who mysteriously for weeks is either not in office, just left, or there but is too busy to talk to me. I have explained multiple times that if they would even just give the money to planet fitness in ********** so I can work out there I would appreciate it. And I have been assured the ** will get back but here we are 2 months later in the same place. Just ***** I guess and I dont know where to go from here. I live hours away with 2 jobs and many kids so its not just an easy trek to make it to the gym there to try and find a solution. Just never have been so disappointed in a place of business before. I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else. 10/10 wouldnt recommendReview from Medea S

New manager is rude. Telling me I signed a paper work saying I need to have my debit card and account on file. I read it allowed and said no it doesnt. She was very hesitant giving me her v bosses name. At first she wouldnt tell me. You can tell she micro manage. I asked her how long has she been a manger and she told me that was irrelevant. Obviously it does matter since she was wrong. She told me I was being rude. I then said Im not cussing and or yelling at you. Im just being v firm. She also implied if i didnt follow the policy and if it doesnt get resolved my gym membership could get canceled.Review from Paul K

Planet Fitness in **** is a bunch of dishonest thieves. I prepaid my membership only to find out that the membership doesn't allow you to use all the gyms. My mistake on not paying attention to that but I canceled within 3 days. An employee at the facility said I had 3 days, but looking at the agreement, I actually have 5 business days to cancel. I hadn't seen a refund after 10 days so spoke to the manager. She said she had to contact regional on how to refund my money and she would contact me within a week. A week went by and no call so I called again. She informed me that I wasn't getting a refund and that it was against their policy. I asked her what policy. Nowhere in the agreement stated that. I cancelled my membership in November 2020 due to the pandemic, only to find out they only froze my membership for 3 months. Found out money had been taken out of my account (an account I seldom use). The manager was rude and did not apologize for their mistake of not cancelling my membership. I had to cancel my membership again on August 21, 2021 They told me I should get a an email confirmation, but I never did. Also, when I cancelled back in November 2020, I also did not receive an email confirmation of my cancellation. I have reported this to Planet Fitness headquarters, but they only said that they will forward the information I gave to them to the Planet Fitness in ****, ** at ************ Also, when I first signed up for the premium membership in February 2020, the membership was only for a 1 year membership-- that it would automatically cancel in February 2021.Review from Geoffrey R

I wanted to try my first gym membership at this Kent location because It is near my house. Big mistake. From the moment I walked in the door they couldn’t have made it clearer that they didn’t care about me joining the gym. This was especially true when I told them I didn’t want the deluxe package. A guy handed me a tablet and walked away.I was having trouble getting my bank routing number to be accepted by their form. I asked for help from the woman behind the counter. She gave me the verbal equivalent of a shrug, and continued whatever busy work she was caught up in. Maybe It’s because I’m a middle aged slacker in Kent, bu these guys seem like elitist snobs. Too bad. A very bad first experience.
