They were hired to remove any water damaged material and dry any existing water. I was not at the property to witness the "work" they did. I did get a bill for $1,091.68 a week later. I had a contractor send me pictures of the demolition they had done. And from the pictures the only "Demolition" was removing waterproof vinyl floor planks that were floating (not glued) while leaving the linoleum and the wood that was water damaged. The break down is: removing toilet 2 nuts and 1 water line $384.69 ($128 per nut) plumbing charge. Removing 15 vinyl floor planks Demolition $91.95. Water extraction $328.92. Though they claim the floor underneath was not wet nor was the wall boards that are water damaged so, they left the linoleum and wood walls. The "cleaning" fee of $200.60 for I suppose throwing away the flooring that was waterproof. a total of about 15 minutes work if you are slow and paid hourly. separate from this they were paid by ***************** for water damage to kitchen and put my 5-foot granite countertop with sink and faucet attached on its side on my laminate floor in the living room along with the toilet. With noting under either to protect the floor from scratches!
