Additional Notes

Complaint: Today I took my vehicle in for some repairs. BILL D**** (owner) told me it would be a forty dollar diagnostic fee. I explained to him that I had already had one done through his establishment and told him what the problem was. He said that he had no record of it and needed to do it. I told him to go ahead but I could produce records from his shop that he had already done it and I should not be charged twice for the same test. He charged me for it, And I produced the invoice saying his company had already done it. He refunded my money. He also quoted me 2.5 hours of labor on a belt change and a fuel sensor replacement. He called at 12:13pm and estimated 2.5 hours labor. I told him to go ahead and do the work that need to be done . Then he called at 1:40 pm and left a voicemail saying the job was done. That's only about 1.5 hours of labor. When I picked the car up I asked him why he was charging me 2.5 hours of labor for a job that only took 1.5 hours and he said to me ..... " I gave you an estimate of 2.5 hours .... That doesn't mean that's how long it takes. I don't have all this special equipment to save YOU money." So I just paid $100 for and hour of service he addmitedly did not do. He didn't not tell me he had a flat rate. He told me it was an estimate( not a quote) To me, that means he is estimating how long it would take. Clearly, he over estimated.

Desired Settlement: I would like my money back for one hour worth of service . I don't mind paying $100.00 per hour for a skilled service, but I do mind paying for an extra hour of work that was admittedly not done.
