The mission of Washington Women in Need (WWIN) is to improve the lives of low income women in Washington through financial assistance for health care and education.

Incorporated: 1992 in WA

Also Known As: WWIN

WWIN gives women the opportunity to create better lives for themselves by giving significant grant moneys for education, mental health counseling and health care (physical, dental, vision, hearing) or payment of insurance premiums/co-pays. WWIN believes these are important elements in creating the foundation for improved outcomes for low income women and their families.

Washington Women In Need provides grants in four program areas: Physical, Dental, Vision and Hearing grants are offered for up to $3,000 over six months to cover general health, vision, hearing or dental. This is a very high demand grant and is typically used to cover dental needs. Mental Health Counseling Grants are provided up to $1920 over one year to cover 24 sessions with a licensed therapist in Washington. Health Care Insurance Premium grants are covered for up to $4,000 over a one year period and an additional up to $1,000 for co-pays. Education grants are provided for women enrolled at accredited institutions in Washington State for up to $5,000 over a one year period to cover tuition and books, as the last funding source applied.
