Consumer complaints are all similar in nature; they generally involve issues with the hand-set, dropped calls, or limited, poor or no service availability.
The most recent pattern concerns NTelos’ cancellation of “Unlimited Plan” contracts because of “excessive data usage”. Consumers have stated they are not notified of any issue prior to receiving a call from nTelos stating their plan is being cancelled; these calls purportedly are made just days before the actual discontinuation of service.
Consumers also state that since they are paying for an unlimited plan, it would never occur to them to monitor their activity. On November 27, 2012 BBB contacted the firm regarding their pattern of complaints and asked their cooperation in resolving the underlying issue of the complaints. To date, BBB has not received a response.
