Description

Longwood Industries is a 501(c)3 charity that does not solicit for donations; therefore, they have not been evaluated in relation to the BBB charity standards.

Through an agreement with Adventis, Inc., a commercial call center, Longwood Industries offers automobile Internet-Web Advertising under the names of Oncedriven.com and Auto Marketing Systems.  Consumers report that after they place an ad online they are contacted by either Oncedriven.com or Auto Marketing Systems to place a similar ad on their website.

Oncedriven.com offers a 45-day ad for $189. If the customer sells their own vehicle within 45 days, they may obtain a refund minus a $29 processing fee.  If the vehicle is not sold by the owner/customer in 45 days, the $189 is non-refundable.    If the customer sells their vehicle, they must follow Oncedriven’s policies exactly in order to receive a refund.  The cancellation policy states that a photo must be provided within 14 calendar days of sign-up; the seller must request the refund within the 45 days and the seller must sell the vehicle to a buyer NOT delivered by Oncedriven. The seller also must provide verification of the sale.   The cancellation request must be done online; if the consumer does not have internet access they may call 1-888-941-6515 to request a refund.  

Auto Marketing Systems offers two different ads, a non-refundable ad for $149 or, a refundable ad for $249, of which $29 is non-refundable.  Customers must follow their policies exactly in order to receive a refund.   The cancellation policy for Auto Marketing Systems states that a vehicle photo must have been provided within 14 days of enrollment; the required cancellation form must be postmarked within two weeks after day 90 of enrollment and the form must be notarized.   Fax, email and phone requests for cancellation will not be accepted.  Consumers may wish to return the form certified for proof of receipt.

Complainants solicited due to ads placed on Craigslist refer to the option they check not to receive unsolicited services or offers. The businesses response to these complaints state they assumed the customer wasn't interested in hearing from commercial interests completely unrelated to why they posted their contact information in the first place, (e.g., random marketers such as credit card or home security companies).  The firm states their service is specifically tailored to help the customer achieve their goal.
