Complaint: Workers of this business using a weedeater damaged the paint on the back bumper of my new car. My car was parked in the back at my place of employment away from other vehicles so as not to be in harms way. When the workers arrived they started weedeating with no regard to the vehicles in the lot. My car was hit with the weedeater along the entire back of the bumper and some on the side. When I realized what was going on I confronted the workers(unhappily I might add)Their attitude was one of non-concern and pointed to the number on the truck and said if I had any issues to contact the owner of the business. This is what I did immediately(unhappily I might add) The owner **** ******** was just as uncooperative as his workers. He has since been asked by myself on another occasion and also by my insurance representative what his intentions are. He has stated that he has no intention of repairing my vehicle. The insurance estimate was over $800!!!

Desired Settlement: I want them to fix my car!!!

Business Response: Thank you for the opportunity to respond to Mr. *****s’ complaint. We take our good reputation seriously and we take responsibility for our mistakes. Mr. *****s made contact with our employees at the time of the incident and we did not see any damaged caused by a weed eater. Mr. *****s contacted us and we could NOT have a civil conversation with him. We are fully insured but we do not agree that we damaged Mr. *****s car.

Consumer Response: There were numerous other people at the shop at the time of the occurrance that were aware of the situation.  There was never any denial that the damage was done by the employee with the weedeater until now.  After the damage was done to the car I took it to a body shop and had an estimate done.  I also contacted my Insurance company and an adjuster was assigned to the claim.  The adjuster contacted the business owner and was told that they were not going to fix the car.   I take great pride and care of my car which is why I was VERY upset about the damage.  It was only made worse by the attitude of the employee and the owner.

Business Response:   We have been in business for 14 years and are fully insured and take responsibility for our actions. We looked at his car and we do not agree that we did any damage to his car. Anyone can make any accusation they want and we can go back and forth. After the confrontation with Mr. ****** about this incident we decided to end our business relationship with the business (Mr. ****** employer) for the safety of our employees, we were subsequently called after service was ended by the business owner and asked to return and continue to service the business with his guarantee that Mr. ****** would have no contact with our employees. What is important is that we have a long business relationship and have proven ourselves to the business owner.   Respectfully,  **** ******** Top Notch Lawncare    

Consumer Response: There was no resolution offer provided, only denial of responsibility.  This in itself is unacceptable to me.  There was damage done to my vehicle by an employee of a business.  That business has chosen to deny this and refuses to accept responsibility for it.  This tells me they have no regard for other peoples property and people should be aware of this when they either use or are in the vicinity of Top Notch Lawncare owners and employees.  Regards, ******* ******
