Complaint: I placed an order "on line" 5/28/15 and as of 6/19/15 have not heard from them. I have called three times approx. a week apart and each time they took my name, phone number and item ordered and said the shipping dept. would be calling me. I also emailed them twice. On the original order, my email address was incorrect, however the shipping information was correct. The most recent phone call was today, and I asked them to ship, call, or make a refund to my Credit Card. I was told their shipping dept. only works two days a week and had a backlog, but I would appreciate a call / explanation. Thank You

Problems with Product/Service

Complaint: On 3/19 we placed an online order for an engine piston from LilRedBarn (part number HUPK576-51MM) and paid for it using our Visa card for a total of $38.30, upon receipt of the merchandise I contacted LilRedBarn by telephone and spoke with ***** to inform her the part was not to specifications and would not work as advertised for the model they supplied it for. At that time ***** informed me they were having some quality issues with that particular part and advised me to attempt modifying it to see if it could be made to work, modifications were not able to resolve the issue and the part was returned to them at her request, and as ***** stated they were going to send me a new saw chain for my trouble and refund the purchase price and shipping. ***** from Lilredbarn called me on 3/28 to verify she had received their defective merchandise back that I had returned to them and questioned why I had not included additional original OEM parts that they had not at any point supplied to me? That made no sense at all, as the only reason we ordered their part in the first place was to replace a defective OEM part that had long been disposed of. ***** stated that "****" handled their billing and would see to it that a refund was issued the evening of 3/28 @ approximately 6pm, that has not happened and we are going to be forced to place a fraud charge on our credit account due to their malfeasance and business practices. Buyer beware when dealing with these people!
Desired Settlement: Full refund immediately and a permanent BBB dispute record for public reference as they are an internet sales business with defective merchandise and predatory business practices.They rarely answer any telephone calls during their limited published contact hours and calls made to them are fielded by an outside answering agency.
Business Response: ON MARCH 28, 2013 WE SPOKE WITH MR ***** AND TOLD HIM WE WOULD REFUND HIS PURCHASE PRICE INCLUDING SHIPPING AND HANDLING. WE DID NOT DO THE REFUND TO HIS CREDIT CARD UNTIL 03/30/2013. WE CALLED HIM ON 03/30 TO TELL HIM THE REFUND HAD BEEN MADE WHEN HE ADVISED US THAT HE HAD FILED A COMPLIANT WITH THE BBB. MR. ***** STATED THAT HE WOULD REVOKE THE COMPLAINT. HE HAS BEEN FULLY REFUNDED HIS ORIGINAL COSTS PLUS WE PAID TO HAVE THE ITEM SHIPPED BACK TO US. HE ALSO RECEIVED A FREE CHAINSAW CHAIN FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. THE REFUND WAS RETURNED TO HIS VISA CARD ENDING IN ****.
Consumer Response: They simply did not make any attempt as promised to make a refund after they received the defective goods back until they were told a fraud charge would be levied with the credit card provider and the BBB complaint was made. They are not to be trusted, period. It takes a matter of seconds, not days to issue a CC refund. The red flag is the fact they do not have regular business hours and use an answering service to screen their telephone calls, BUYER BEWARE regarding this company! Regards, ****** *****
