Complaint: I have a complaint foremost towards customer service but also the billing practices of the company. The PTA of our elementary school in ******** NC ordered 5 picnic tables, item 11TA-139pm. Our account manager was *** *****. During the order process he was nice and easy to work with and did supply us with a quote for our order. When the quote was presented, we were told it was a winter sale price but also included an additional price adjustment due to the multi table order. The same week that the tables were delivered I went out to the website to print off the assembly instructions. I was shocked that the same exact tables we ordered were now $39.22 less per table. We thought we were getting a winter sale multi table discount but in fact we were paying $196.10 more for the tables than everyone else. I emailed ***** ****** and *** ***** on 1/31/13 to ask why. After waiting a week and getting no response I called *** and left a phone message for him to "please call me". After no response I called to ask who *** ***** reported to and was forwarded to ***'s voice mail. I asked that he "please call me". I had no problems getting emails or phones calls returned in the same day when money was in hand, however since our order shipped I have had no returned emails or phone calls. I feel like even though my intentions were good and I tried to be a good steward with the schools money I made a bad decision in leading the PTA away from our current supplier, *********, and suggesting ParknPool. I hope this review will guide others if they do intend to order from the campany.
Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of 196.10 but if nothing else I wrote it for BBB information.
Business Response: To Whom It May Concern, We are in receipt of the consumer complaint (#*******), sent via email on February 27th, 2013. We do apologize if there was a previous attempt to reach us regarding this complaint that was not received and responded to by us. ParknPool's goal is to provide unparalleled integrity and competence throughout the entire purchasing and installation process - and this absolutely includes after the sale is complete. The complaint that Ms. ***** has regarding our lack of response to her concerns is completely abnormal in our course of business, and goes against everything that we strive for day to day. The lack of response to her concerns has been addressed with the account manager who handled her account by his supervisor and by the owners of the company. In addition, the Sales Manager immediately contacted Ms. ***** via phone and email to discuss this issue with her. The product Ms. ***** purchased (11TA-139PM) was offered at a lower price shortly after she completed her purchase with us. This was due to an unforeseen discount we were given from our manufacturing facility. Unfortunately we don't always get advance notice of when an additional discount is going to be given (and which we pass on to the clients), and there are times when a product a client has just purchased will be offered at a lower price after that sale is complete. The larger and more concerning issue to us is the lack of response on our part to Ms. ****s' concerns. As stated, our exceptional client service is what sets us apart, and is what we strive to accomplish each day, with every client. To know that we failed in this area with Ms. ***** is of great importance to us, and is an issue that we took immediate steps to rectify. We take great pride that the majority of our business is repeat business from our happy and satisfied existing clients - who come back to us again and again for their furniture needs because of the service they receive from us. When a situation occurs in which a client is not given the service he or she should receive from us, we do everything in our power to resolve the situation immediately and to ensure that it does not happen again. We contacted Ms. ***** a short while ago on the telephone and we were able to discuss this issue with her and offer our sincere apologies. In addition, a follow up email was sent to Ms. *****. To apologize for our lack of response to her concerns, we have issued a refund to the elementary school PTA of $196.10, and in addition have given the PTA a $100 credit towards a future purchase. The follow up email to Ms. ***** has been attached to this response email. We thank you for bringing this client service issue to our attention, allowing us to address it immediately.
