DISHONEST PEOPLE! We used CMG Leasing for 2 years. The people who originally worked there were great. Polite, courteous and helped whenever our daughter and her roommates needed anything. Then I don't know what happened but they changed staff, and THEY ARE HORRIBLE. The are unprofessional, mean, manipulative, and deceitful. When our girls moved out they left that apartment SPARKLING. They did EVERYTHING that was indicated on the move out list and the lease. They were both employed over the summer and since the leasing company only works M-F they were able to do an "in-person" walk thru. They attempted to do a virtual walk-thru which would have taken no extra effort, but they said they had to make arrangements 30 days in advance, even though their move out letter said just call. All through the lease there are all sorts of hidden statements, but when they send the notification of step by step what to do they purposely leave out key items. Consequently they withheld 50% of each deposit because there was a 1/2" mark that was missed on the wall, AND because of this and the condition of the stove and oven - they had to repaint the apartment and clean the oven. I call BS! When asked about the charges they were very rude, to our daughter and roommate, but when confronted with a letter from our attorney they were a bit more civi. I understand that COVID was hard for many but to capitalize on young adults to make up for your loss is wrong !! I attached pictures of the apartment to prove my statements. We have another daughter attending Radford University, and we were hoping to use the same company and location. We will NOT! Will be notifying not only the university but other county entities as well, since the company REFUSES to speak and deal with out attorney in person, so we are moving forward. VERY DISAPPOINTING!
