BBB offers the BBB Accredited Charity Seal Holder to encourage greater confidence in giving by offering local and national charities a unique and recognizable way to express their commitment to ethical standards and charitable accountability. Becoming a BBB Accredited Charity Seal Holder is a prestigious status, only held by select charities practicing high ethical standards. The Seal is a clear, concise, and easily recognizable way to show that a charity adheres to BBB’s strong and comprehensive accountability standards.

Registered Charities, which meet all 20 Standards for Charity Accountability become BBB Accredited Charities and qualify to participate. While there is no fee to become a BBB Accredited Charity, Seal Holders are required to sign a license agreement and pay an annual fee. The fees will be directed towards establishing and monitoring the seal program and helping to support BBB core reporting activities. Participation in the program is voluntary.

The annual fee is determined by a sliding scale based on the level of the charity's total contributions for the past fiscal year. To learn more please click here.
