Product was misrepresented. The service of the installer, installers supervisor, other people involved was unprofessional.
We purchased the windows in October, 2013 and it took almost 8 weeks to have them installed (Dec. 30). The reason we chose to get new windows is because we were having condensation issues. The sales rep, ***** **** assured us if we got new windows we would not have this problem, which was false. Prior to having the new windows installed, he advised us that while we waited for the new windows we could try to lower the humidity in the house to control the condensation. We brought the humidity down from almost 60% to 30% which is what he told us it should be at to stop the condensation. This solved the problem with the old windows but we had already signed the contract with Certified so we couldn't back out. The day after the new windows were installed we had an excessive amount of condensation that turned into ice. I contacted him immediately to let him know the problem and it took them a month (Jan. 29) to come and figure out what the problem was. They said the problem was that a tiny sponge was left out when they were manufacturing the windows so ****** the installing supervisor, put the sponges in each of the windows. We don't have ice anymore but we still have condensation. I've asked to speak with the owner on numerous occasions but I have not received a call from him or been able to reach him. The other issue we had during all of this is the installer that came to put in the windows. He was here for 4 days instead of the 2 that it was supposed to take, he left a huge mess throughout our house (didn't use drop cloths, didn't take off his shoes, didn't sweep/vacuum, left huge chunks of window and drywall all over the floor, left garbage outside), he also damaged the wall around the window and said he wasn't able to fix it because his drywall putty was frozen in the truck, he was also very rude and disrespectful. When I asked him about the mess he left, he told me he didn't care and that I could contact head office all I wanted, that they won't do anything either. Numerous times he told me it wasn't his job to clean up after himself and that's not what he gets paid for. On Dec. 31 he called me at 7:30PM and said he wouldn't be able to finish the job the next day because his car broke. I told him that it wasn't acceptable and we needed him here. He called me the next morning to tell me he would come but he was using his wife's vehicle and he hopes he doesn't die on the drive from ******* to ** ******. I called ***** every day the installer was here and voiced my concerns/issues and he said he would take care of it. I do not feel that a legitimate effort was made by the company to satisfy both parties. I feel as though as soon as they charged my credit card and received their money, our concerns/opinions didn't matter and my requests to speak with the owner, ***, were ignored.

Desired Settlement
We are requesting compensation in the amount of ***** which is the difference between the price Certified Windows charged and the quote from the other company we were going to go with.
