BBB-WMI BUSINESS OF INTEGRITY
2009 AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The Better Business Bureau announced the winners of the BBB of Western Michigan’s Integrity Awards. Over the course of 2009 many companies were nominated for the Integrity Awards within the 38 county BBB’s service area. Anyone can nominate a deserving company for next year’s awards at www.westernmichigan.bbb.org and the BBB will contact those nominated.

Each was sent an application and were judged on overall ethical practices portrayed via employee practices, vendor and supplier practices, as well as the integrity shown in their marketing, advertising and community involvement.

Ken Vander Meeden, BBB of Western Michigan President, noted:

“As always, It Starts With Trust and we always like to recognize a few of the many reputable companies we have located within our region. Our region prides itself in the quality of life we have achieved but the quality of the companies we have located here is a big positive for the employees, vendors and customers of these companies. Too often we only hear about the negatives of business leadership and it is rewarding for the BBB to be directly involved in recognizing the positive contributions of these fine organizations.”

Choosing the winners this year was difficult as we had many quality nominations and the criteria was the same for all companies, regardless of size. The four winners of the BBB of Western Michigan’s Integrity Awards are:

• Great Lakes Hearing, Inc. – Grand Rapids, MI

• Precision Plumbing - Heating Systems – Traverse City, MI

• Springfield Commercial Roofing - Kingsley, MI

• Trivalent Group - Grandville, MI

Vander Meeden noted,

“Companies of integrity exist throughout our region; we encourage the general public to proactively nominate reputable firms from their community on our website throughout the year. Ethical practices and trust is becoming a major factor in consumers selecting good businesses for their important purchases in this era questionable business practices at all levels. Our BBB goal is to deliver to consumers trustworthy businesses and charities in this age of mistrust.”
