Grand Rapids, MI - October 25, 2012

- Since the beginning of October, the BBB has received more than 140 complaints against US Public Yellowpages, who, according to complainants, sends businesses an invoice in the amount of $599.99 for business listings that were not ordered. Three of the complaints filed have been from West Michigan businesses.

US Public Yellowpages claims they have recordings of the businesses authorizing the charges, yet businesses maintain the recordings are doctored and the services were never requested.

"This company claims they have a recording accepting services, threaten credit reporting and threaten escalation to collections," said one business owner. "No one with any authority to purchase from my business has ever been in touch with US Public Yellowpages and I detest their unprofessional and harassing behavior."

Businesses request that US Public Yellowpages cancel the alleged services and cease further contact.

US Public Yellowpages indicated they intend to respond to all complaints, yet to date, BBB has not received a response.
