            On 2/1/23 Fafco Solar (****) removed the solar panels from our roof at the request of ***** Roofing in order to repair our West facing tile roof. He removed the panels and pipes and placed them on our dock for re-install after the roof was repaired. At a later date, Fafco claimed that there were seeping headers and that we needed a new system ($7,550). The current system was installed 2/5/18 with a 12 yr warranty. I contacted FAFCO on 3/27/23 to have the system reinstalled. The system had been irking normal with NO leaks (see photos from ***** roofing 1 month before panel removal). On 4/20/23, talked with ***** and advised by her that ********* was scheduled for 7/21/23. On return from our summer home in **, on 9/2/23, the reinstall had NOT been done. Representative ***** said the warranty **** not be honored.             Our FAFCO brand swimming pool solar heater panels were installed on 3/20/ 2015. The company's claimed warranty of 12 years is far away from the truth. Our first problem was with a strap panel that needed to be adjusted on 8/25/15. On 8/28/17 we had paid $69.00 for a repair because the pool water was not heating. On 10/1/21, we paid $210 to have a bad sensor replaced. On 7/18/22 we had leaks at the *** on the roof and "accater" (copied from the report of FAFCO's authorized dealer's report who sold and installed our system). The repair cost us $330, but the leaking continued, forcing us to turn the system off completely. In addition to total of $609 we paid for the various problems in seven years after it was installed, we no longer could heat the pool because it still leaks. I am a military veteran with ailments that the heated pool was of great help. We are waiting for our roof to be replaced and the FAFCO equipment on it to be trashed at the same time before we will have a new solar heater from a different manufacturer to be installed. Prospective customers of solar pool heaters should be made aware that the bedtime stories I tell my granddaughter are much more valuable and have more truth in them that the quality of FAFCO systems and their so called 12 year warranty.
