The business addressed the issues within the complaint, but the consumer either a) did not accept the response, OR b) did not notify BBB as to their satisfaction.

On March 26th I had called Sun Toyota over the phone interested in purchasing a vehicle. When I called and spoke with ***, I explained to her that I would like to trade in my vehicle that I currently had. I asked her, if there is any chance they could appraise my cars value over the phone. She insisted that they cant do an appraisal over the phone but she specifically said they match KBB value, if not offer more, that they dont waste customers time. I asked her again to ensure if they will match KBB or even their own appraisal on the sun Toyota website she and stated yes multiple times. I drove about 45mins to get to the dealership to not only be embarrassed but gaslighted by the response of the sales team for my cars value. KBB and sun Toyotas website valued my vehicle from 15-17.5k when I came into the dealership they offered me 8800$. That is when I told the sales rep about what I was promised over the phone and that is the reason why I came in today. They dont hold up their end on what they promise over the phone, they will lie to you directly to get you to come in. This should not be allowed or accepted considering they record every phone call they receive. They should honor the price of what their official website offered me or even match KBB offer, not offend me and state my car is only worth half the price due to the miles when the miles were entered when receiving the appraisal on KBB and the sun Toyota website.

I had a terrible experience at Sun Toyota, this was on 3/12/24. I came in because I was told the van I was considering was 37,000. I spoke to a Miguel on the phone before I came in. He told me the price of 37,000. He was a manager, as I had requested a manager. When I got there it was 46. Before I left I asked for the deal they had thought they thought I was thrilled with. My salesman said ok. Yet he returned and said my boss says no. This was the large man who makes all the decisions, as he recently claimed. I was trading a truck in great shape and carvana offered a great amount, $20,700 was my written offer. I was offered significantly less. And was told my vehicle was junk they would not give me anything near that. I spoke with carvana and still have the offer. It’s a printed offer. I also contacted my bank for personal loan advice after leaving. He said that doesn’t seem fair at all. He came up with a monthly payment of around $333. My monthly payment at Sun Toyota ranged from 650, 550ish and at the end of the night it got to 460. They gave me all of this without actually running my credit. My credit is outstanding. It is verifiably above 800. Later my salesman called and was not happy to know I wasn’t doing the deal. My intelligence was insulted. I really should have videoed my experience. If I put that on social media people would be shocked. This car was used. But $1,700 was still for delivery, 3,600 was for a warranty I did not want. I didn’t want it because they said Toyota is the most reliable of all cars. Therefore why would I need a warranty.? I will include a pic of some the fees in fine print I they said I needed to pay. The vehicle was $37,000 and I was still financing $33,000. This is after a $16,000 trade in. I filed a complaint with Toyota corporate and they blew me off and closed the case. When I followed up, they said customer requested unrealistic price. Wow.
