              I have been going to Florida urology for many years. They were then acquired by Tampa general. They did not bill me for the longest time and started sending bills 18 months behind and then they tried to catch up. I paid all the copays.Imagine my surprise when I hear from a collection agency. I have never received a past due bill from Tampa general so I have no idea what the issue is. I cannot match the dollar amount to any of my explanation of benefits. It would appear to me from the information I currently have is that instead of building my insurance they just sent it to collections I disputed it with the collection agency and have not heard back yet. I also called the vice president over billing for Tampa general. He did not return my call or have anyone on his staff return my call.

              I received my surgery on October 31st 2023. This was a day surgery at TGH Women Department. I paid a payment on account which was towards my out of pocket amount prior to surgery. My insurance has requested information from TGH to settle the claim and is still waiting for the additional information from TGH. We are now end of February. Not good.
