My fianc has been in the hospital since yesterday morning and Ive been by her side the entire time except for this morning to afternoon when I went to work. So tonight actually about 30 minutes ago a nurse enters the room and says that I can not stay with the patient (my fiance) tonight which is news to both of us because the prior night and no time today did anyone discuss or bring this to the attention of either of us and now 10:30 at night a hour and a half after visiting hours its alleged it was brought to her attention that a male visitor was in the room and if that was the case why was I let in as a visitor at 8:58PM and still no one said anything to me or her which is very frustrating because after I explained that I can not leave the facility because Im on curfew probation at 10pm every night and my probation officer is already aware that Im here that I can not leave the premises because I dont want to get in trouble and make it seem like Im deviating and once I told the nurse that information she made an even bigger deal saying that I definitely cant stay now when the night prior it was no issues. So Id like to file a complaint and possibly looking to move forward with a lawsuit for discrimination of my gender and possibly my race as well Ive been nothing but respectful and helping out my fiance any and everytime she needed assistance with anything especially getting up to use the restroom when no one else is answering her calls or there to help her. Id like to follow up more about this situation because this is unfair and I feel like my rights have been violated. And Ive read in the policy statement section of the system policy that the ***** also allows visitors of their choice and also allows such person to be present for emotional support during the course of stay and does not deny visitation on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, ***, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability which I feel is what took place.
