Additional Complaint Information
The BBB has received complaints alleging non delivery, poor product quality and poor customer service.
We Contacted the business asking them what did they believe was the underlying cause of complaints?
The business states earlier in 2011 the golf cart warehouse was selling 80 to 100 golf carts per month x 12 months that's 960 golf carts on the low end. Since that time they have revised their prices and now currently they are at 43-68 sales per month with triple the employees. So their customers did not seem to understand the warranty.
Q/ what actions have you taken to help eliminate the basic cause of these complaints?
We have rewritten our warranty as well as explaining to each and every customer how the warranty works, what is covered and what is not covered. We have also hired a well-qualified shop Foreman to oversee our refurbishing procedures. The shop Foreman also double and triple checks their mechanics' work quality control protocols. In compliance with our continuing improvement policy we now offer a 6 month safety inspection at minimal cost to our valued customers. This covers 21+ common issues they have found with golf carts and is designed to keep them all in great running condition and safe for all users. We now have a dedicated service team for faster response to customer calls. Also we have reduced our area of operations eliminating Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and North Carolina. They now only concentrate our service and sales of our golf carts to Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
Q/ How do you believe the BBB can help you to eliminate this cause of complaints?
We would like for the BBB to better investigate the validity of filed complaints. It is not fair for a customer to file a complaint against us over a minor cosmetic issue which is clearly not covered under the warranty. The customer has as much time as they require inspecting the golf cart on delivery before accepting. Also we have had customer complaints that have misrepresented themselves to the extreme of falsely claiming to be law enforcement trying to expedite delivery times and curry favor. We treat all our valued customers with respect and equality. We trust the BBB will see that 17 complaints over two years with almost 2700 units sold is a very low ratio of complaints.
