Complaint
Exhedra has arbitrarily cancelled my account and refuses to disburse funds it owes me.
Exhedra/Vworker runs a website (vworker.com) that allows buyers to purchase the services of virtual workers, such as coders or designers, via a bidding system similar to eBay. For the last few years I have used the name "*****************" on Vworker to work with people who need coding around the world.

I received an email from "*****************" at Vworker on August 6 claiming that I had set up multiple accounts, in violation of their terms of service. As a result, said the email, my account was to be shut down. However, Vworker was never able to provide any reason why they thought I had set up multiple accounts (for example, accounts originating from the same IP address, using the same Paypal address to receive payments, etc.). ************* called Vworker's office in Tampa (XXX-XXX-XXXX) on my behalf and talked to ************, who recited again that they "knew" I had created multiple accounts, but could not explain how they knew this.

On August 14, after asking to know what accounts I was accused of creating, *************** at Vworker wrote to me: "We have attached your account to numerous other accounts to include: ***********************************************************************************."

I attempted to research these profiles on Vworker, but by the time I received this email they had already been shut down.

I wrote back:
"I did a search on this company, ******************, and I was able to pull up their old ratings via Google Web Cache:

***********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************

As you can see, this seems to be a company that does SEO articles. I am just one person--not a company--and I do not do SEO article writing. I specialize in CSS/XHTML/PHP.

Except for "******************," I have not been able to find any Google cached versions of these other profiles, so I don't know what projects they did. I did see that "******************" has no work history or ratings on Vworker. It's definitely not me. I have a pretty good rating, and would have no reason to set up a new account to try to build more good ratings.

Can you please tell me why you think these other accounts are associated with me? Do they have the same name as me? ****** ******. Do they use the same email address as me? *****@gmail.com. Do they use the same IP address as me? Do they use the same Paypal email as me? *****@gmail.com. Please let me know. I am very concerned."

Vworker responded that I was continuing to set up accounts--again, with no proof or reason why I might do so.

Vworker responded with this message: "Unfortunately, as a result of opening so many accounts, your funds will be held for at least one year. If you do not create any more duplicate accounts in that time, your funds will be released to you. On the other hand, if you continue to create duplicate accounts, our system will find them, they will be closed, and any funds you received before they were closed will be held as well. These funds will be used to pay for any cancellation fees associated with canceled projects on your duplicate accounts."

With Vworker there is no recourse. They have arbitrarily withheld money for work performed, with no creditable reason why.

Desired Settlement
I would like Vworker to disburse the payments owed to me: $156.03. Ideally I would like to receive these as soon as possible.

Business' Initial Response
There are a total of 8 accounts associated with ************. They have all been linked through either one or more of the following ways: address or email address, The money that was in the account $107.31 is being held for one year to ensure that no other account are made. There were fees assessed on all accounts for vworker fees on any lost projects.

Consumer's Final Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I only use one email address on Vworker, ******@gmail.com. I only use one physical address, **** ******************************************. If anyone else is using this email address or physical address, it is not me. I would be happy to prove this in any way I can. However, I do feel the most significant positive proof of identity is a Paypal address. Paypal requires that you confirm your physical address via rigorous security measures, and it only allows one email address to be linked to a given bank account. In this case, the Paypal email address I have used to deposit all the funds I have received from Vworker is ******@gmail.com. I can guarantee that no one else on Vworker is using this email address linked to this bank account--or else I would certainly be receiving payments from other accounts. If you see the attached screenshots, you will see that my Vworker disbursements exactly correspond with deposits in my Paypal account. There are no additional deposits that would indicate I was using additional accounts to conduct business on Vworker.
