I contacted Royal Oriental rugs of Tampa by filling out an online request for a quote to clean three area rugs two of which were Orientals. I included the sizes of the three rugs along with my address and contact information. Several days later a ************************* called me and said he would be picking up the rugs. When he arrived on Saturday February 3, 2024 we discussed and agreed on a total cost of $875 along with delivery of the cleaned rugs on the following Saturday, February 10, 2024. I gave him a check for $403 as a down payment. That check has since been cashed. On February 10 he never called or delivered the rugs. When called him he said they would be delivered the next Saturday, February 17, 2024. Once again, he neither called nor delivered the rugs. I called him in the late afternoon of February 17th asking when my rugs would be delivered. He responded that it was a long drive and if I wanted my rugs delivered it would be an extra $500 delivery fee. I refused to pay the additional $500 and reminded him that there wasnt any mention of a delivery fee when he originally picked up the rugs.
