I bought a 2020 GMC ****** 1500 SLT 4x4 from Ferman May 8 2023. I had no intention of spending the amount of money I did but I was told "you're buying a new truck since it's a certified GMC preowned" not only by the salesman but the sales manager and finance manager. It fit everything I needed it for I just needed to put a few upgrades to make it work for me and my professional life and personal life. I added ****** in upgrades since I work in construction to make it reliable on the jobsite and purchased the wrap warranty along with the gap insurance. March 3rd of 2024 the check engine light came on and I called the dealership to bring the truck in. March 4 2024 I took the truck into the dealership at 9AM, by 3PM I had not heard anything. I called and they said they hooked it up to the computer and it said to clear the code and it was fine, I was called later that day and was told to come pick it up. When I got to the dealership I started the truck and the check engine light was still on, they kept it overnight and checked it again the next morning. Within 2 hours Tuesday March 5 2024 they discovered it was the electronic fuel control module. I received a call and was told "it's going to be quite sometime before you get the vehicle back, it's the electronic fuel control module and both parts are on a national backorder". After contacting 5 GMC dealerships the conclusion was it was going to be a "minimum 4-6 months". I was given a loaner vehicle, nothing compared to mine, a 2wd 4cylinder GMC ******, base line truck. I'm not able to do my job and cannot enjoy my personal life due to the fact the truck can't pull my work equipment, boat, and camper. After spending ****** on the truck and then another ****** in upgrades,the dealership and GMC have basically told me we have done all we can and you just have to wait. With only having the vehicle less that 10 months I think GMC and Ferman need to make this correct with an SLT with credit to get the same upgrades or AT41500

This location lacks integrity and has significant opportunities with communication. Even when in writing, they do not stand by their agreements, on multiple occasions claimed someone else at the location "doesn't know what they are talking about" and/or gave incorrect information. I would strongly encourage other take their business to a location that stand by their (written) word and the word of their employees For background, I have included some of the specific details on their review on ******* I was going back and forth with this location for a Dodge Ram 1500. There was a rebate live March-April 1st the made a sizable impact on the price. I live about 4 hours from the location, and with a location closed on Easter, it required a bit of planning, 1st thing in the AM 4/1, I reconnected with the salesmen regarding availability and to reconfirm pricing, the salesman sated the price would be honored including the rebate on 4/3 (first convenient date I could make it). On multiple occasions I asked that he confirm the pricing would be the same including the rebate that supposedly ended 4/1, and on multiple occasions he sated yes it would with only exception being if someone else purchased first. Even though the location stated I could put a deposit down to hold the truck, the salesman stated they "didn't know what they were talking about" and they do not do deposits because "what if someone else is willing to pay more before I make it there. Had he been honest that they could not honor the price, or actually researched the rebate as he said he did, i would have dropped everything to make it in time. If someone sated urgency is not needed, then i am to believe this is true. The truth does not seem to matter here. Even though these exchanges are in writing, the salesman and the manager told me i am out of luck and there is nothing they are willing to do to honor their communication. Very rude all around. I think ******* has text message agreement to be legally binding
