            On 1-16-2024, Advanced Air (tech *******) came to perform annual maintenance. Tech advanced there was a leak, and I agreed to pay for "leak search" service at a price of $449.10. This service included 2 pounds of refrigerant. Tech determined AC coil was the root cause, and it would be replaced under warranty. I agreed to pay the $69.00 fee to process the warranty. Tech also added an additional 4 pounds of refrigerant at a cost of $352.00.On 1-25-2024, Advanced Air (tech *******) came to replace the coil. The entire system needed to be drained and refilled with refrigerant to ensure/confirm proper operation.My complaint is there was no need to pay for an additional 4 pounds of refrigerant at at cost of $352.00 to have it drained out 9 days later to replace the coil. I have contacted Advanced Air multiple times to try and resolve this issue. After ~2 weeks, I finally was able to talk with ***********************, service manager to discuss the problem. He promised he would contact me back very soon after speaking with his manager, and he stated he understood my concern and basically agreed it. This was ~2-3 weeks ago, and I still have not received a response. I contacted Advanced Air again over a week ago and advised agent to have ****** contact me again regarding this situation. As of today, I still have not received a response. My request is for a credit of $352.00.

            We were due for our semi-annual service from Advanced Air yesterday, Jan 26th, **** but we decided we had 12 good years from the Trane System Advanced Air installed and maintained and should probably look into a new system. I asked if I could cancel the scheduled maintenance and instead speak with someone about a replacement. They agreed and sent ******************** to meet with my wife and me just an hour later. ******** inspected our equipment and agreed with the suggestions that the servicemen had made over the last few service calls. We had already gotten more than the average ten years of life out of our existing system and it would be better to replace a working system instead of waiting for a breakdown likely when the summer weather arrived in the next couple of months. ******** understood our situation that we were in our advanced years with numerous medical issues and would likely not be remaining in our home for more than a few years. We wanted a quality system but also wanted to minimize the excess costs of the most sophisticated system. We agreed that it would be wise to get the same quality Trane system we currently had and upgrade to the 10-year Parts and Labor warranty program that was transferable as this would add to the value of our home if we were to sell shortly. We also agreed it would be a good health decision to replace our eight-year-old UV Air Filtration System, especially because of our advanced age. We were very comfortable with ******** and his guidance in this important decision. *****************
