While working on the HVAC unit in my condo in ****** ***** the repairman caused a leak which resulted in water damage to the entire unit.
While working on the HVAC unit in my condo in Sarasota FL in December 2014, the Wentzel repairman caused a leak which resulted in water damage to the entire unit. The company replaced the flooring, but additional trim damage had to be repaired and the tenant had to delay moving in from December 8, 2014 to December 19, 2014. An invoice has been sent to Wentzel's by the property manager, but the owner ***** ******* refuses to pay. The additional damage was to the trim lining the floor. It had to be replaced. Also the condo had to be cleaned and a closet put back together that was taken apart to install the new flooring. The total cost for the repairs and cleaning was $460.00. In addition to these costs, I lost rental income because the tenant couldn't move in per the rental agreement. They were supposed to move in on December 8, 2014 but had to delay until December 19, 2014. The total cost of lost rental income was $300.00. The total cost incurred to repair their mistake was $760.00. The property manager has repeatedly tried to collect this money and I have called ***** ******* several times but he is never at the office and does not return my calls.
I would like reimbursement for the additional costs I incurred as a result of their mistake. As described in the Complaint detail, I would like a monetary settlement of $760.00.

In this particular situation, we took ownership of the problem caused by our repair tech. The water damage was located in the living room and in the bedroom, not in the kitchen or bathroom. Wentzel's repaired the entire wood floors through out the condo. Wentzel's, repaired 75% of the trim in the condo, which included all areas where the water damage took place. The closet was not changed or not left undone by our repair work.
Mr. Wentzel, met with the "new" tenant and she asked him "when are you going the replace the blinds, clean and paint the condo"? This was not our responsibility. The property management called and spoke to Mr. Wentzel and Mr. Wentzel explained what the new tenant said to him, then the property manager said well instead of paying $760.00- how about you pay us $350.00?
The management company continued to call the office and made threatening comments to the staff.
Wentzel's, went above and beyond by replacing the entire wood flooring and this took us 3 to 4 days to correct. The tenant was not moving in , until the condo was cleaned, painted, etc. (she called it a dump). Wentzel's, feels that we left the condo in better shape than it originally was.
We took ownership of our mistake and worked quickly to resolve it!
We did not pick Wentzels for this service, the condo association did. Good customer service includes returning phone calls not ignoring them. It also does not include threatening to come to my property managers office and punch him. Yes, the condo floor was replaced. We appreciate that. The condo was left with the bedroom closet doors on the floor, trim not installed, and paint touch ups needed. Also, the water heater was removed by Wentzels and reinstalled but wasn't the same after the reinstall. It had to be replaced in early 2015. Repairs by Wentzels caused a delay in the renter moving in. We are still expecting $760.00 in lost rent and repairs refunded. Thank you.
