**** owner of Pure Air inst a Rheem 2 stage 18 seer AC $11650 inc dual UV + Apco dual Air Purifier 9/16/13. 16 mos later FAILED 3 INSP JOB NOT DONE
Inst AC 9/16/13 quoted $10400 pd $11500 +150 for add. 2 yr FREE svc/labor/maint wty. **** kept my $1495 FPL & $1200 Rheem rebates. Never pulled my permit until AFTER the AC was installed telling me don't worry were good w/the county. WELL GUESS WHAT.. only after my urging and just 2 mos ago Oct 2014 the unit inspected,it has now FAILED 3 TIMES!! The handler was inst crooked 16 mos ago. **** the owner knew it. his was of taking care of it was to install a pump to drain the water,it wasn't draining the water and building up in the handler for 1 yr. now the coil is corroded, mold is in the entire unit, in the insulation + the coil + all the mechanisms. He refuses to take care of it. He never put in new plenums so now they are leaking air. One of his techs ***** literally told me I had to pay an additional $800 more .. seriously ? It's a normal part to be replaced by most companies - NOT PURE AIR !! They put a sticker on the unit that it passes a duct leak test - It's leaking so badly My electric bill has been double that of my 10 year old unit. I even had FPL come and do a duct leak test - GUESS WHAT - FAILED !!! **** LIED to the FPL biz coordinator told him he DID REPLACE my coil when HE DID NOT !!! He just conveniently lies to whomever he is talking to at the time to try to make himself look good. I found this company thru ***********. I changed his review to an "F" he literally went off the deep end threatening to sue me when all I posted were his text msgs to me - THE TRUTH HURTS !! I tried calling 8 different contractors to see if they would fix his mess as he has been out to my house 16 times as of tonight 12/3/14. They all refused as soon as they heard he was the one that installed my unit. I didn't have to go into any details they would even talk to me any further, they all told me once I was finished with him and once he fixed his mess I would be more than welcome to call them back. Tonight 12/3/14 ****s guys show up at my gate unannounced which is typical. No call to schedule an apt, no text msgs from the owner and even tho I have told the owner to STOP TEXTING ME OR I WILL GET A RESTRAINING ORDER ON HIM HE STILL TEXTS ME. On 12/18/14 it was from 1104am to 11pm at night are you serious - if I put what he was texting me you would think he was psychotic also. So tonight they show up at 613pm wanting to fix things for the 16th time and AFTER THE 3RD FAIL w/Collier county. Interesting I never heard anything from the Chief Insp stating that he was allowing them to finish the work because any communications I am copied on. I was told the complaint is now with the state licensing board. Well it will go right along w/my complaint to the State of FL as well. His guys have been very nice most of them. there is 1 that I will NOT allow on my property along w/the owner. I can tell you that I have told the owner **** what it will take to fix the unit, but because he is so bull headed and cheap he refuses to listen. I hv told his guys what is needed to fix the unit, their hands are tied bc of the owner. Tonight they came and did what they were told, unfortunately I told them it will not be enough and after they left I checked and sure enough I was right. But I will let the state and county handle it. I am done w/him being disrespectful sending his guys out here at 6pm and they are here until 1030pm at night w/out an appt!TAKING A CRIMINAL AMOUNT OF TIME TO COMPLETE 16 MOS,LOOKS LIKE A BUTCHER JOB,TEXT MSGS THAT ARE UNPROFESSIONAL.I get a call from the Chief Insp 12/5 tells me **** the owner didn't listen to instructions that were clearly stipulated. The Chief was no longer going to climb into the attic to perform insp after the 3rd FAIL, **** has to HIRE A PRIVATE LICENSED INSP TO PHYSICALLY INSPECT THE WORK. What does **** do? He makes up his own rules and has his guys take videos of the work they did this supposed insp literally accepts these videos, passes this work WITHOUT ACTUALLY INSPECTION OF THE WORK ONSITE !! AMAZING!!
For 16 mos now since 9/16/13 **** ******** owner of Pure Air has refused to properly fix my AC unit. Collier County is going after him now 12/3/14 for WILLFUL VIOLATIONS. Excuse after excuse to properly fix my AC and ALL of the Issues with it is RIDICULOUS !!NOT including when the first installed the unit just in the past 2,5 months **** has had his techs out to my house 16 times !! 16 TIMES IN 2.5 MONTHS !! **** himself has NOT been out to my house since last year 8/26/13 the 1st and only time he was here when he quoted the job. other than that he has NEVER BEEN AT MY PROPERTY. Now, after all of his drunken night texts to me until all hours of the night, threatening texts, insulting texts. I final have had it. on 11/18/14 I told him at 10 pm if he continuous to text me I would file a restraining order on him. This was AFTER him texting me from 1104 am, he didn't listen he continued til 1106 pm.
The ONLY WAY this will be fixed is if he either replaces the handler brand new with new plenums as should have been done in the first place OR he replaces the plenums AND everything inside the handler including the insulation, the coil, the motor as it all has mold in it and the coil is corroded. the plenums are leaking air. But he refuses to do this.
There are other issues still in the attic that the county wants **** to fix. I am unsure if this is fixed or not yet. I will find out this coming week 12/8/14 sometime.
the email I recvd from the county advised me that **** has a hearing on 12/17 if the permit is not closed out by then, the county will send their complaint to the state and let the state handle it from now on.
But I have just sent my complaint into the state AFTER 3 FAILED INSPECTIONS and I was told by the county their hands are tied because **** is a state licensed contractor so they were happy I was moving forward WITH MY STATE COMPLAINT, IF HE WAS A COUNTY LICENSED CONTRACTOR THEY WOULD HAVE ALREADY PULLED HIS LICENSE.
The ONLY option I see viable is for **** ******** is to provide a FULL refund. That includes $11500 cost for the AC. $150 paid for additional 2 years FREE service/labor/maintenance warranty. 3 years was already built into the contract.$1495 FPL rebate, $1200 Rheem rebate that **** kept and I never received. PLUS 16+ mos (UNTIL THIS IS SETTLED) of high electric bills. My electric bills should have dropped not been the same or higher than that of my 10 yrs old electric bills.
Even **** when selling me the unit stated "Oh you will see you electric bills drop in 1/2 if not more !!" LOL. Well I can assure you that has not happened. so at this point me electric bills and this is just an average I can get exact later is @ $120 over each month for 16 months = $1920 ... so the total $16265 AND this is not including the last stunt he just pulled which I AM DEMANDING $20k minimum compensation (**** called animal control on me and my rescue group because he was mad at me for filing the state complaint so he was doing nothing but being vindictive. which they were told. Ironically the Chief inspector was on the phone when the animal control officer was here and even he told her that **** was being vindictive, nothing more (remember **** HAS NOT BEEN TO MY HOME SINCE 8/26/13) and IF I NEEDED ANYTHING IN MY DEFENSE he would be more than happy to provide it to them!!) Animal Control is well aware of **** ******** evil intentions and they left.
The $20k is not only for the malicious vindictiveness on ****s part but the mental stress that I have had to endure with him over the past 16 mos. I have plenty of proof to back up everything I need with him in text msgs and documentation in writing.
$16265 + $20000 = $36265
Maybe you can help me resolve this situation. Because so far **** has taken this very lightly with the county, has been out here 16 times in the past 2.5 mos to cont to do crappy fixes. He IS NOT LISTENING to what the county is telling him to do. GIVE ME A REFUND SO I CAN GET IT FIXED PROPERLY.
I want to apologize for your negative experience with our company. We always strive to meet all of our customer's needs. We have made several attempts to resolve the issues at your home. Unfortunately, some of your requests are not feasible. You are asking for parts to be replaced that are fully functional, and Collier County does not believe that these parts need to be replaced either. We cannot replace parts free of charge that are functional and cannot be reimbursed through warranty.
I would like to address a couple of other areas that you may be confused about. The dealer always keeps the FPL and manufacturer rebates. Those amounts were discounted from your total invoice amount. Therefore, you have already received the discount for those rebates. They are complicated to file for, so dealers save the customer the hassle, and give the discount for the rebate immediately. This also saves the customer from having to wait to receive the rebate money.
I understand that you have filed a complaint with the State. Again, we regret that you have been so greatly dissatisfied. Collier County has not filed a complaint with the State, and we are meeting the head inspector tomorrow to resolve the last two issues, and then the matter will be finished as far as the County is concerned.
Furthermore, **** did not tell the FPL business coordinator that we replaced your coil. We had intended to replace it upon you stating that it was damaged, until our technicians physically inspected it and the coil was found to be working properly and not leaking. Collier County also agrees that the coil does not need to be replaced.
The private engineering firm that we hired has no affiliation to **** personally, they were referred to us. It was their request for us to take video and send it to them, not anyone at Pure Air. I am not sure if this is their standard way of handling with these issues, or if that was what they decided after hearing about the unsanitary conditions in your home. Either way it was not our decision, we would have been more than willing to meet them out at your home to perform the inspection.
In regards to your claim that the chief inspector did not approve for us to return to your home to complete the job, I am a bit confused. He instructed us to have the remaining issues fixed, and then re-inspected by a private firm. I am not sure how we were supposed to fix those issues without returning to your home. **** did not lie to you.
Also, **** did not turn you in to Animal Control. It is not fair to accuse him without having proof that he had done so. As you stated, **** has not personally been to your home in over a year, so he would not be able to vouch for the cleanliness of your home.
In conclusion, we regret that you are dissatisfied with your air conditioning unit. There seem to be quite a few points that we disagree upon in regards to issues with your unit. We have made every attempt to fix everything which needed to be fixed. We do not agree to pay you $20,000. We wish that this had a different outcome, but it seems that unless we replace parts that don't need to be fixed, or pay you $20,000, you will not be satisfied.

The ONLY reason ******* from Pure Air is APOLOGIZING is to TRY to make themselves look good to the BBB and whomever else might be reading this but I can assure you it the apology is NOT LEGIT!! Both ******* and the owner **** have lied and filed false reports to whomever they can to make themselves look good at the time. The latest stunt of ******** is to file FALSE REPORTS TO ANIMAL CONTROL, CODE ENFORCEMENT AND THE HEALTH DEP AGAINST ME. SHE FAILED TO CHECK BEFORE THAT IN FILING FALSE VINDICTIVE REPORTS AND USINING A GOVT AGENCY WITH THE SOLE INTENT TO GET A PERSON IN TROUBLE IT IS A 3RD DEGREE FELONY. **** her boss I'm sure put her up to it, if not and she did this on her own I hope that her employer is going to pay for her legal fees when they are both sued professionally and personally for harassment, cease and desist the unit itself plus an entire line of other charges !!
The parts I am asking them to replace are very legit. The reason they don't want to replace them is beause THEY ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND IT WILL COST THEM MONEY TO REPLACE THEM !! The handler was installed crooked 9/16/13 because of that it was holding water in the handler causing the inside of the unit to MOLD, THE COIL TO CORRODE AND MOLD !! NO ITS NOT UNDER WARRANTY it will cost the OWNER $$ OUT OF HIS POCKET WHICH HE REFUSES TO DO !! Why should I have to pay for it ? Its NOT MY FAULT this was poorly installed, IT'S PURE AIR'S !!
I am not confused about anything !! Pure Air seems to BE THE ONLY COMPANY that KEEPS REBATES from customers !! I have had 4 AC units installed and I was mailed all rebates the companies did not keep them !! I called numerous local companies, they DO NOT KEEP CUSTOMERS REBATES ... IT HELPS PREVENT FRAUD !! So YES, I want my rebates back or YOU OWE ME MONEY !!
Pure Air was very well advised of the state complaint against their license. I waited until AFTER THEY FAILED 3 COUNTY INSPECTIONS. The county actually encouraged me to file the state complaint because Pure Air is a State Licensed Contractor they were just as upset with them as I was with my job and how unprofessional they have been the entire way. The county was going after them for WILLFUL NEGLECT if that tells you anything !! I was told by several county employees that IF **** from Pure Air was a county licensed contractor his license would have already been pulled. But their hands were tied. Collier County IS FILING A STATE COMPLAINT. I was told this AFTER the permit was closed out. They are NOT HAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL !!
**** DID TELL the Biz Coordinator with FPL THAT HE REPLACED MY COIL. IT'S IN WRITING. It was not we "ARE GOING TO REPLACE IT" he stated "WE DID REPLACE THE COIL". obviously HE DID NOT !! Collier County NEVER STATED ANY SUCH THING. As a matter of fact the Chief Inspector AGREES IT DOES need to be replaced and it should NOT BE AT MY COST. What he said was It DOES NOT FALL UNDER THE SCOPE OF THE CODE AND CANNOT FORCE PURE AIR TO REPLACE IT !! 2 completely different things !! But of course you flip it to be in you favor as normal ...
How would this company Pure Air hired possibly know anything about the conditions of the living conditiond of my home ?? Your guys took VIDEOS of the work they did and close-ups at that. I HAVE ALL 47 ?? OF THEM They did not take pics of ANYTHING ELSE BUT THE DUCT WORK !! I AM SO FED UP WITH THE LIES FROM PURE AIR. I have a copy of the reports filed with Animal Control, Code Enforcement and the Heath Dept and there is NO OTHER NAME SIGED TO IT BUT ******* ** (last name withheld) FROM PURE AIR !! You cannot file a anonymous complaint, your name is recorded in all email transactions ... FYI !! THIS PRIVATE ENGINEERING FIRM NEVER CAME TO TO MY HOME, FOR THAT FACT EITHER HAS *******. HENCE A FALSE REPORT. Each of these agencies knew immediately that from the email ******* sent it was someone being ventictive and they all told me that. All cases closed out being UNFOUNDED !!

What the Chief Inspector told **** to do was hire a private inspector because he refused to get back in the attic AFTER 3 FAILS. THE PRIVATE INSPECTOR WAS TO PHYSICALLY INSPECT THE WORK YOUR GUYS DID, NOT TAKE VIDEOS OF IT. IT WAS NOT ACCEPTED BUT REJECTED BY THE CHIEF INSPECTOR. READ THE PERMIT NOTES or your email !! I was told Pure Air doesnt know how to follow instruction, it's a joke and a disaster when I asked them to hire a private inspector last time so I'm just going to Inspect it myself. This is why the Chief Inspector showed up at my house and sat here and waited while the Pure Air techs did repairs in FRONT OF HIM, BECAUSE HE WAS SICK AND TIRED OF COMING OUT HERE HIMSELF. HE WANTED TO MAKE SURE IT WAS FINALLY FIXED FOR THE LAST TIME. 17 TIMES THEY WERE OUT IN A 2 MONTH PERIOD AND LITERALLY HAD TO BE BABYSAT WHILE IT WAS REPAIRED. HE HAD TO CLIMB UP AND DOWN THE LADDER 5-6 TIMES THAT DAY TO MAKE SURE THEY STOPPED THE AIR FROM LEAKING AT THE HANDLER - we still believe there is air leaking on the top and back of the handler at the plenums. This is why they must be replaced NEW. FPL AGREES !! The county knows this IS NOT OVER WITH BY ANY MEANS. THEY KNOW THE STATE COMPLAINT IS IN PLAY AND HOPE IT WILL RESOLVE THE ISSUES THEY COULD NOT.
Pure Air does not have a good reputation in this industry and the county has made their own comments to me about them. Does she honestly think all of the customers are wrong ? Read all of the reviews in the different areas they are not good at least the legit ones that are not done by employees or friends !! **** has lied to me over and over again!! Pure Air has sent out techs to work at my home unscheduled many times over. They show up and I ask why they are here and I always get the same answer " Didnt the office call you or did **** tell you ? " of course the answer is always NO !! **** has texted me all hours of the day and night sometimes til midnight. He thinks its funny. I dont. I dont know who he thinks he is, HE IS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AT EVERY LEVEL ANYONE CAN IMAGINE.

IN CONCLUSION, Pure Air will NEVER fix my AC unless they are FORCED to do so. All apologies are FAKE AND FOR APPEARANCES ONLY !! The county coplaint to the state along with mine will hopefully get them to fix whats needed after 17 times and over 1 year. its a criminal amount of time that this is taking to fix and a health hazard because of the mold. They are literally ignoring the health facts of the mold in the handler. They are ignoring the fact that my coil is corroded and it WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED SONER THAN LATER. THIS IS ALL DUE TO THE WATER THAT SAT IN MY HANDLER FOR OVER 1 YEAR, BECAUSE OF THE CROOKED INSTALL they did back on 9/16/13. ITS NOT MY FAULT BUT THEIR !! Yes it will cost him money to fix, its the cost of doing business when you do poor workmanship.
