              When I purchased a condo in ********** Nov. 2020, the previous owners service contract with Grande Aire was transferred to me and I was provided service in February 2021 under this transferred service contract which was set to expire the following month. I renewed the annual service contract in March 2021 and have renewed every year since. I sold the condo in June 2023 and when the new owner called for service in July 2023 Grande Aire came out under the service contract as expected but told the new owner transferring Service contracts is illegal due to Florida State Law. They charged the client $885 for a new motor which they paid. I was informed by our realtor of the problem and reached out to Grande Aire and spoke with ******* who said it was illegal, accused me of trying to get her to break the law, they were canceling my contract, and assured me I was never serviced under the previous owners contract, but would look into any possible refund. This prompted me to request all further communication be via email to memorize conversations. I did not cancel this service contract, was not notified in writing by them 30 days prior to cancellation which is required per our contract. I have been trying to get information from them regarding the contract law they followed and fulfilling our existing contract. They admit to having a previous owners contract in place when they serviced me in the past. They said the law they are using is for Florida State Warranty Law which covers my Service Contract and Residential Maintenance Parts and Labor Air Conditioning Contract and it is illegal to transfer these contacts. They state the new charged would have been covered 100% per our existing Service Contract. But the new owner was charged $885, charged an annual service agreement $360, I am out additional money because I was charged back $119.72 for them canceling my contract without notification and offered a lower refund $90.90 than contracted $220.80.
