We had a trip planned to **** ****** Feb 26 - March 2 that was booked through Encompasse Tours. We paid $2000 down in October of 21 and then paid the final full amount of $6913.2 (total of $8913.2) in December (both are being reported to ***). We were planning the trip to ski and to attend the ***** meeting there. Unfortunately on Feb 22 my father passed away.( www.****** funeral home.com/obituary/********-*-*******/ ) I immediately informed our travel agent and she has been trying for days to get some form of a bereavement credit for this but was told absolutely NO. I am the oldest and only son so I had to come back and take care of everything for him. I have tried calling to no avail. I would have thought there would have been something we could have worked out - but they would not budge. Was it unreasonable to hope for at least a credit? Could they double dip? I thought they would have offered even a credit worth 75% of the value that had to be used by a certain date would have been fair? Before I went on my social media tour I wanted to reach out to the BBB and file this complaint to let you know of their policy and to see if we could work something out.
