Neffsville Plumbing. Overpriced. He was polite. But... 15 minutes to take off the commode. 45 minute wait time to have another truck bring the snake. 1/2 hour to use the snake to unclog. $923. No parts needed. Will be letting everyone know about this. Will not be using this company again. Diane from DallastownReview from Edwin C

We hired these guys to fix our boiler. They quoted us $1100 to remove water replace motor and replace water purge air. We were told our boiler was old and needed replacement. The main sales guy came out and quoted us $20000 we asked them to just fix for now The guy removed the water replaced the motor then said he was refilling with water and purging. Then he called my husband downstairs and told him it wasn’t going to work and now needed another motor again remove and replace water and also replace a vent pipe $6700. We called another company came out the same day. The pipes were not full of water and the system was air locked. They filled it with water and purged the system. Nothing like I saw the other guy did. Scary company trying to up sell instead of fixing the problemReview from Holly W.

I had them come to my house of backed up sewage. When the guy showed up he looked around and said I'm going to take pitcher and then give you a price. So he came back in and said there is two ways we can do this. the one for $904 or $982 so I went with $904. So I had to put half down and pay the rest off in 18 month. I was told that they would come in and cut the one pipe and use a cameras to get it unclogged. So the next day they came and then called me to tell me they don't have the camera and it if the thing gets stuck that it will cost me $8000.00 to $20000.00 to fix it and I said I want a camera and he said well both guys will not be back to work until Sunday and I was like what I have to wait until then 2 days no running water. So they never cut any pipes they did use the sneak that they said they didn't want to do because they thought it would get stuck. After I said I don't have the money for that cost for it to get stuck. So the guy called me back after he got it unstuck and said so what where you told on the payment. So I told him half now and pay the rest in 18 month. He was like no we need it all paid off know. Then he tells me I have to go to Welfargo to get a lone to pay it off. If I new this I would of not done this. I fell I was ripped off. And I was told that it was 55.00 for them to come out then that got changed to 57.50. And the work they did only took less then 30 min he just stood around and didn't anything for over a hourCustomer Response

What began as a $59.00 maintenance charge, resulted in a $718.00 charge. I was told unit was running "high" and tech. suggested a cleaning service for inside/outside coils @ $185.00. After coils cleaned, tech. states the unit is now running low on refrigerant (said by 2lbs.). Tech. stated there could be a leak or a meter malfunction (reading incorrect pressure inside furnace unit). Tech. asked if I wanted a recharge of the system @ $362.00 and "go from there". I agreed (bill states tech. added 1 lb. of refrigerant). I was then told I had a leak somewhere in the system, because the two numbers on his reader, both increased at the same time, which to him, indicated a system leak. Tech. asked if I wanted a leak check performed (using "sniffer") @ $307.00. I asked the tech., "Are you sure that there is a leak?". Tech. stated, "Yes". Leak check performed, however, no leak was detected (after unit was charged to specification), was given all possible reasons to why tech. could not find the leak, ( one reason was tech. states leak could be too small to be detectable or refrigerant could have leaked from the shrader valve (but tech. didn't find a leak at the shrader valve)). After lengthy discussion regarding why the tech. could not find a leak, the tech. told me that the company will honor the leak test performed, for one year from today so if leak gets bigger, they won't charge fee upon return within that calendar year. After tech. explained the leak test service, he calculated the fee for service @ $818.00 before taking off $100.00 (after I asked him to call his supervisor) and gave me a 5% for my veteran service final fee of $718.00. I reluctantly paid. I was asked to sign, stating that I was "satisfied with the work". I explained to the tech. that I was NOT SATISFIED with the work. I did not sign the document. The tech. then left my home. I had to return to the outside unit, with a shop-vac to remove the debris that was left inside the base of the unit.Review from Chris R

My hot water heater burst and I had water issues in my basement. I called several plumbers. The only plumber available for that day service was Neffsville Plumbing. Now I know why... The service tech was scripted with testing my water and trying to sell a new water softner before we even spoke about replacement costs. Then came the worst part, the cost of the install and water heater. If you get the 1 year service plan it is less because they offer a "generous" 10% discount on the parts. That being said with the discount, the cost to install a new 50 gallon water heater with a 6 year warranty was $2800.00. I only needed a 40 gallon which is what I had but the cost between was basically the same. At the time I was stressed out and did not do my homework. The cost was over the top. When I spoke with the manager about the cost he said that the cost of their overhead such as the managers, building, service tech and parts were all figured into the cost. I would like to be fair but I didn't need to pay for all that overhead. Very frustrated with myself for choosing this company and not doing my homework. Buyer beware - they will do the same job as the little guy down the street for about double the cost. Not to mention that they even will say that with the exception of telling you that their service and products are better quality. Also, when the old water heater was pulled out it leaked a brown gunk on my wooden basement steps. The mess was left there and not cleaned up immediately so I ended up cleaning it up before anyone would walk on it and carry it through my house or grind it in. The manager said that the tech would have cleaned it up but I didn't wait for that to happen. Guess I just don't like the thought of that stuff drying into my steps or being carried through my house. Feeling very foolish....Review from Bob &Betty R

Checked basement Sunday morning (June 6th. Steady stream of water coming from UV bulb tube for water system. Shut water off and called Neffsvile. Jaron came out about noon to check the problem. For some reason when we turned the water on just for a few minutes it was only a drip, drip. Joron was not very familiar with the UV system and we both agreed we could just turn the water on and off as needed. Monday Bruce came out and also was not familiar with system but send pictures and information to Steve C. who installed the system. He came out as soon as possible to check the problem.Steve said he should replace the UV bulb as it was soaking wet. He had to go a new bulb and was back in a short time and put the bulb and new sleeve back in the unit very quickly. Unit had just been serviced and there was no charge. VERY professional team. We have been with Neffsville for years for both plumbing and AC and have always been well pleased. A BIG THANK YOU especially to Steve C.
