We asked them to replace a drain in upstairs vanity+ fix 6"inlet & clog in downstrs toilet. Clog was NEVER FIXED. $ 1,000 + 3 calls. Made it worse! The toilet began leaking from the front & son Broke the pop up on sink! (They did replace drain &cut 2 pipes) Dale Gerhart showed 3 times with son and helper. He said waste pipes needed to be raised. Cut pipes on 2nd visit, left son and helper to finish.. After an hr. I inquired as to the status. I found them inspecting my toilet with a flashlight! Why? Son replies"Looking for any finish cracks, as they can cause a toilet not to flush properly." I asked if they snaked the pipes. NO! They finally leave after caulking the front of toilet so we can't see a leak! 3rd call. Toilet still clogged. Dale finally snakes THE TOILET ONLY. Leaves the 2 "helpers". This time after another hour I check on them. Son states he can't figure out why it's still clogged & leaking from the front. The toilet has been removed and they are looking at it. I asked if they put a wax ring on it. Son replies" NO, it shouldn't need it. Water flows downhill,but it's still leaking from the front. I just can't figure it out." I asked him to PLEASE PUT A WAX RING ON IT before it's replaced. Helper says yes, maybe an extended one? Son says check downstairs. Helper runs downstairs. He hollers "HEY, We have a LEAK TO THE BASEMENT DOWN HERE! IT'S LEAKING IN THE BASEMENT! Never cleaned it up. They finally give up and after another 45 min. of padding the bill, they put the toilet back, caulk and leave. 4TH CALL. Toilet is STILL NOT WORKING! I am told by Dale G****** "This isn't a Crystal Ball situation. I can’t be responsible for what someone before you OR YOU MAY HAVE PUT DOWN THERE". Customer Service tactic? THIS WILL COST AN ADDITIONAL $500 DISCOVERY FEE, + WHATEVER IT TAKES TO FIX IT! NO. They should have ran a snake when pipes were cut! We had to spend $1200 to have it fixed in 1 visit. We expect 1/2 our cost $600 OR Refund of last bill $630.
