I use FC Haab for oil to heat my home. They typically come out on a schedule as needed to refill my oil tank. My bill rarely exceeds ~$350. However, for some reason they came out in the middle of May when the weather was already in the 70s and heating was obviously no longer needed for the season, and filled my tank up to the brim at the highest price oil has ever been. My bill was significantly more than it normally is, over $1,000. I called to complain, saying that the bill was ridiculous, that what they did was dishonest, and if they'd like they can come take the oil back in exchange for a refund. They refused. There was no need to refill my tank when the weather was so warm and oil prices were so high. Upon telling them this, I was mistreated by customer service who were very aggressive and rude. They said that I was calling them "thieves," which is a word I did not once use when speaking with them and they just put in my mouth. They also told me that I was the only customer who was complaining about this, which was particularly nasty (and also a statement I personally do not believe to be true). They did say I could pay the bill over time, which I ended up doing. However, at the time I spoke with them, I asked for help, as such a large bill is simply not affordable for me, and they told me they would see what they could do to help and call me back. They never called me back except to check on when I would pay. I ended up having to pay the entire bill, which has put me in a deep financial strain. I cancelled my service after paying.
