              I contacted the Thoroclean office in King of Prussia, PA and inquired about having two carpets cleaned as well as one tile floor. I explained to the woman I spoke to that I needed to have this done as I am putting my house on the market and the realtor was coming by to take photos to post on the Website. When I asked her how much the charge would be for the tile floor she said $1 per square foot. She never mentioned anything about a minimum. When the workers showed up they gave my husband a hard sales pitch trying to get him to agree to more work. Then they explained there would be $100 minimum for the tile floor. The floor in question is for a small bathroom and would be well under 100 sq. ft. I told them not to do it. When I called to complain, I spoke to the same woman who took the appointment and she argued with me and said she told me about the minimum. She then proceeded to hang up on me mid sentence. I was not thrilled with the job done on the carpets and would never use this company again.

              All customers are told the same answers by staff as per our office policy. The customer was informed about tile pricing being $1 per square foot with a $99.95 minimum. This pricing is also stated in all print copies of our company ads. We offer a 10 day guarantee and will return at no charge to the customer and repeat the original service completed. The customer was offered by our company to return to service their carpet again at no charge. She refused. Carpet needs to be maintained properly. It was stated on the visit receipt that the carpet was last cleaned 2 1/2 years ago. The carpet is 5 years old. The customer could not recall who cleaned it or if it was protected. As per the carpet manufacturers; carpet needs to be cleaned and protected at least yearly to maintain it. If carpet is not properly maintained it will stain and wear more easily.
