Complaint about Baileys Crossroads Auto Body My **** ****** Camry had a dent in the rear bumper, and I took it Baileys Crossroads Auto Body after reading good reviews of their work in a consumer publication. I got a reasonable estimate to repair the dent and, as asked, left my car on Monday October 18. I expected to get it back in a day or two. I called four or five times and each time was told it would be ready soon. Finally on October 24, a week after dropping off the car, ******, who was handling my car, told me that nothing had been done on it. He also said he could not get the guys in the shop to work on the car. What?? (So today October 26), on the ninth day (the ninth!), I went and got the car. It was in the same condition as when I dropped it off. How can this be? How can a shop hold a customers car for more than a week, tell him fairy tales, and then say nobody will work on it? How can employees decide they wont work on a car? (Its a normal, **** ****** by the way). A shop should say they cant or wont do the work. Then I would take the car to another shop. Or they should take the car and do the work. l was shocked by the lack of professionalism shown by this body shop. Maybe there is an explanation somewhere, but I sure didnt get it. What I do know is I was without my car for almost nine days with nothing to show for it. This was a unique experience for me, in a lifetime of getting cars repaired. I asked to speak to the owners but they were always unavailable. I want to know why I was treated so rudely, and I do not want this to happen to anybody else.
