Complaint: I contacted Long Sunday 16th 2014 to request their service for a plugged Line. The person (Missy?) called me back and she received the details. I told her I opened the toilet and used my own small snake, but the snake I had was not long enough. I told her more about my issue and she said that same-day snaking the sewrer line would be $600 to $900 since it is considered an emergency service. I told her it was not an emergency and asked how much it would be if it was done tomorrow(Monday). She stated that according to the invoice from the plumbers, it will cost me $300. I told her OK and agreed to the $300. Later, the next day the plumber arrived at my door and told my wife it will cost $585. My wife, knowing that this was not the agreed upon price, called me and I talked with the plumber. I told the plumber that the fee is $285 above the agreed price and stated that we would not be needing his services. Long's should have told me about their actual price when I asked for estimate. They mislead me and charged me and my family an extra $89.50. I am requesting Long to reimburse $89.50 and stop miss quoting the price in order to make it more appealing.
Business Response: *** ***********, Obviously there was a miscommunication issue that happened between Missy and yourself. Long's Corporation is a flat rate company, we charge $89.50 for a dispatch fee (to come to your house), then the technician looks at problem and quotes you from the flat rate book for the task. Work performed on Sundays and after hours is considered "emergency service" that is why she told you prices for that. Missy has been handling after hour calls and emergency service for several years for Long's Corporation so I feel that it was a simple mistake. Long's Corporation would be happy to refund you the $89.50 dispatch fee and hope you have better communications with your next plumber.

I have not received the refund the company was suppose to send me.
Business Response: I have to take full responsibility for this falling through the cracks. I did not give to bookkeeper to send refund check. I guess I just got overwhelmed with the holidays and end of year. My apologies for the long delay in your refund.

Complaint: The company failed to check for an issue (leaking refrigerant)that was brought to their attention as probable problem. After week of waiting on authorization, ordering part and replacing, problem was not solved. Checked for and discovered leak. Now currently on another week+ wait for authorization, ordering part and replacement. One month prior to this issue the company recharged low refrigerant during a separate service call and did not check for leaks then or on the current return visit until first issue did not solve the problem.
Desired Settlement: Get my AC fixed ASAP.
