              Smith Village sent a repair person out to do fix a warranty issue with a $550 wall recliner I bought in June, 2022 when I noticed the padding was collapsing on one side and causing the seat to lean and cause discomfort. The person told me I wasn't sitting in the chair properly! The repair involved putting another layer of foam in the cushion which caused the problem to get worse. Recently I called to complain about the problem and the sales rep. gave me the bum's rush by repeating that "some products aren't for everybody." I don't need to hear how many people are satisfied. I needed to hear that Smith Village, which has furnished about half of our home, would make it right. They didn't even offer an apology. It's bush-league retail.

              We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with your recliner. In January of 2023 a technician completed an in-home inspection of your chair and found no spring or structural defect in your chair. He did note some shifting of padding to the right side and replaced the seat foam core and foam topper at no charge. We have not received any communication from you since the replacement indicating you were not pleased with the work completed. Although your recliner is 8 months beyond the free coverage period, you can opt for the out-of-warranty service by contacting our Customer Care team at ************. Thank you.
