Complaint: Last August 2014, I contacted Trunnell Electric to perform a basic job consisting of connecting my cable box upstairs to my TV downstairs so I could watch cable TV downstairs. Two technicians came to my house, and after trying different cable connection configurations they had apparently connected the cable box upstairs to my TV downstairs, however no signal was visible on the TV downstairs. The technicians told me to call the cable company (*******) to ask them to reset the signal connection and that if it still did not work, then they could not figure out how to do the job.I did call ******* and after they did a signal reset, there was still no cable signal on my TV downstairs. So I left it at that. Now, in late 2014, I received an invoice for $358 for a job that was incorrectly performed. So this is the issue as Trunnell still wants to get paid.

Desired Settlement: I am unwilling to pay for a service that was done incorrectly, so this invoice should be cancelled.

Business Response: We spoke with the customer on February 4 and explained to him that our techs had spent 2.5 hours tracing TV cabling prior to performing cabling work we had quoted him on. He decided to cancel the work we'd quoted him on and refused to pay for our time spent. Although we felt entitled to compensation for our time, we cancelled our invoice and notified him by email of the credit on February 4. We thought this resolved the issue of the complaint.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and eventhough I never received an email notifying me of the cancellation of the invoice, find that the offered resolution is satisfactory to me and will accept it.
